A lot if funky bounce shots from both teams. I thought rhe modern pocket material did get impacted by moisture?

Penn has 3 goals off of horrible plays by Richmond or else they would really have trouble…Chousnake wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 3:58 pm Penn seems to me to be constantly trying to make the flashy and difficult play rather than the easy and fundamentally sound one. Too many shots with no back up. Too many turnovers. Too many shots trying to pick the top corner. Too many sidearm shots. They just do not look like a disciplined team to me today.

This is Murphy’s time to shine. Or not.QuakerSouth wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 4:11 pm Quakers don't seem like they are a team of destiny today. Don't seem like they are on a quest.
Where is the hunger?

20 seconds left in the quarter and not only do they hold the ball at midfield until there's 4 seconds on the clock, they get an offsides on top of it. This is truly one of the most uninspired efforts I've ever seen from a top 3 seed. Richmond wants this more.

8-8. One quarter game. Let’s see what Penn is made of.

Penn's defense (including Burkinshaw) playing well, and so is the FOGO. Looks like Richmond may have gotten away with a high hit against Handley -- yeesh, hope he's okay. And from a "sports injustice" standpoint, tough at the other end to have Richmond convert the EMO goal. Seven minutes to play, tie game -- c'mon Quakers!

Boy do I dislike the FOGO. Get complete players,

Richmond is Top 10 in the country in off and def efficiency, beat Virginia, and only lost to really good teams all year. This game was always going to be this close.random observer wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 4:14 pm 20 seconds left in the quarter and not only do they hold the ball at midfield until there's 4 seconds on the clock, they get an offsides on top of it. No doubt. But it's the fashion in which it's happened. Completely self-inflicted wounds. Gergar and Furey have been awful.jrn19 wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 4:25 pmRichmond is Top 10 in the country in off and def efficiency, beat Virginia, and only lost to really good teams all year. Very nice 10-9 go-ahead goal by Richmond. Penn hasn't had a quality shot for a few possessions, it seems. With 4 minutes to play, and having lost the face-off, Quakers are starting to be up against it. Richmond's feeling it and dealing it right now.

Been a lot of turnovers on the other end too. It’s the playoffs. Always gonna be nerves and turnovers and some mistakes you don’t get in reg seasonrandom observer wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 4:27 pmNo doubt. But it's the fashion in which it's happened. Richmond's have for the most part been forced turnovers. Those happen. Penn has airmailed 3-4 simple exchanges and missed at least as many shot run outs.jrn19 wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 4:33 pmBeen a lot of turnovers on the other end too. It’s the playoffs. Wow almost the Full Toomey there
Re: Ivy League 2022
Penn gets lucky.
Not a great last possession Richmond.
Penn’s attack except Smith has been pretty awful,
they’re lucky Ben Smith came through the 2nd half of
the season.
