Up until last week, I had never read Trump’s twitter feed.....it was mind boggling. I have decided to take a look and see what craziness is posted every few days.....the fact that we have grown ups that are devoted to that guy is unbelievable....I can’t believe how far people in this country have fallen...it’s staggering.

It is staggering. If someone dropped into the USA from 20 years ago and looked at the state of our civics, they would not believe this was America. I converted two 2016 Trump voters to the Anyone-But-Trump camp by simply challenging them to read every one of Trump's tweets for 7 days. One made it 48 hours before disavowing the President, but the other lasted almost 6 days. The three other Trump fans to whom I issued the same challenge refused to even read one of his tweets, which was delicious.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:09 pm Up until last week, I had never read Trump’s twitter feed.....it was mind boggling. Donald Trump represents the last gasp of overt racism, bigotry, and misogyny in this country. None of that will go away with his defeat, but those who share his repugnant “values” have seen the apex of their power.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:30 pmIt is staggering. I have made many comparisons to 1990s California Gov. Pete Wilson, although Wilson was never quite as bad as Trump. White conservatives in California made their last stand with Wilson as the demographics of the state changed. The California GOP had a chance to embrace this change and cater to all the people in the state. Instead, they chose to fight for their racism, bigotry, and misogyny. Scumbags like Devin Nunes are the fading remnants of Pete Wilson’s legacy.
Meanwhile, Hispanic Americans are now the largest single ethnic group in California. The former Republican citadel in Orange County fell in 2018. The former GOP fortress in San Diego fell this year, with a Democratic Mayor and a nearly all-Democratic City Counsel. For the most part, the California Republican Party has been exiled to rural areas of the state.
We are seeing that with the national Republican Party as well. Arizona and Georgia turned Democrat this year. Texas will be a full blown swing state, probably around 2024 or 2026. Republicans have not won the popular vote for president since 2004, and just once after 1988. It is very likely that many of you will never again see the Republicans win the presidential popular vote in your lifetimes.
Biden’s victory will not vanquish the racism, bigotry, and misogyny that fueled Trump’s rise to power. Heck, we have already seen that on our own forum.
But know this, if you shared Trump’s malignant view of the world, you have seen the best of your political days. It will take a generation to undo the damage that you and Trump have done to our nation. The hard work has only begun. Time for you to step aside and let the rest of us get to work in cleaning up your mess.

Two hardcore Trump supporters die and ascend to heaven.
God meets them at the pearly gates and asks if they have any question. One of them says, "Yes, what were the real results of the 2020 election and who was behind the fraud?"
God say, "my son, there was no fraud. Biden won fair and square."
After a few seconds of stunned silence, the one guy turns to the other and whispers, "This goes higher up than we thought."

It was AG Sessions policy via his WH protege S Miller. It blindsided CoS Kelly & the new DHS.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:51 am Or, there really isn't conflict. But we don't actually know enough about what went down when Kelly was CoS to really have the full story, so I'm willing to make some positive assumptions about that period. But after he left, knowing what he knew, and watching the further actions of Trump, an act of "integrity", in service of his country, not the man, would have been to have spoken up. Not saying it's incorrect, but would it not be helpful to hear from the horses' mouth?
