There has been a lot of discussion and argument from the New York prosecutors that statute of limitations concerns make it important to them that they get these materials ASAP. They have been making those arguments for some time.
I donβt know the details of those SOL arguments.
If there truly are statute issues, one would expect very quick action by the prosecutors.
Iβm not sure if there will be any additional proceedings in court. I suspect the next step, if it is going to happen, will be that indictments are issued.
Hard to predict how quickly things will move, but my guess would be months, not weeks, not years, unless there are rapidly approaching upcoming SOL deadlines. Just a guess.

They have to explain all of Dumps taxes and financial games in a manner that 12 people can understand it and agree on a conviction. Why do I think that Dump will be rotting in the ground long before that happens? This case has to be a lawyers dream... sooooo much money to be made via billable hours.

I am certain that the Manhattan DA is very competent. I don't know if any of Manaforts illegal activities even remotely approach the Dump level. My guess is that any trial turns into a multi year fiasco with every possible sort of delay imaginable. That being said, I know the case will move forward. When all is said and done the prosecutors have to make the case understandable to 12 citizens. That will be a huge challenge.

Indeed, they'll need to make it very 'simple', Trump has been living grossly high on the hog while lying to his bankers and insurers, and to the government...costing taxpayers like them and millions of others to pick up Trump's high living tab. Pretty simple when it all comes down to it.
The criminal cases will not be easy to delay, once the prosecutors push the 'go' button, the civil ones considerably easier.

Springsteen pled guilty to drinking in a closed park. Presumably the park is one of those that is closed after sunset. Also the no alcohol prohibition was only two years old in the park.
The prosecutor dropped the DUI charge because, he told the judge, they couldnβt prove the case due to the fact that Bruce only blew .02.

This chit circus should be a whole lot of fun to watch unfold. Of those millions of pages how many are relevant and how many are useless? There have to be some prosecutors out there that will spend their entire careers sifting through this garbage heap looking for the good stuff. If they didn't need reading glasses before they certainly will now. The ACA was a thousand pages and nobody could sit still long enough to read that bill.
