For sports, it is easy to start the season/schedule. But close to impossible to keep to (and complete) a schedule.

Just hours before the first game, the Braves lost two catchers to possible Covid. They only carry two catchers on the roster. So they had to call someone up from the taxi squad on an emergency basis so they could field a team against the Mets. And that was for the very first game. Only 59 more to go...

And a couple days later, the Marlins have 11 players and two coaches test positive. The Marlins recently played the Braves and the Phillies. The Braves recently played the Mets. So you already have four teams (Marlins, Braves, Mets, Phillies) that are iffy. After three games played.

TBD if the NBA bubble will hold up. Hard to see anything other than that model succeeding.

I can't see any college football this fall. I'm sure the NFL will try.

Some organizations were able to get it right. The English Premier League returned June 17th and just completed the remaining 92 games without any disruptions. Can’t really offer any particular reason for their success, but it was.

We can add MEAC to the list of school conferences canceling fall sports and the way this country is handling the coronavirus, it’s going to take a miracle for major college football to play any games.

You don't get to scream 'the sky is falling' without pushback. The sky isn't falling, and the tides have turned yet again, as predicted by sensible analysts. The facts are that hospital systems are far from overrun, and the reality is that most new "cases" in the Sunbelt are asymptomatic

Ask DJ Trump Jr. Kevin Roose (tech reporter for the NYT) complains to his friend Andy Stone who heads up Facebook's Comms team, who used to run the same for Barbara Boxer, about a video that Trump Jr posted, and DJ Trump Jr's video gets deleted, and his accounts suspended.
