That's why the game is at 4 PM.

Cost?

Princeton up 9-4 over Yale at the half. Yale has had some great comebacks, but who do we want to win?

If Pr>Y, Pe is our ILT semi opponent. If Y>Pr, it's Pr, unless B>H, then it's B. All assuming C>D.

I'm told by a reliable source that the team left yesterday at 11AM.

Doesn't a Princeton W also guarantee we host the ILT, regardless of the outcome of the Dartmouth game? A W against Dartmouth would give us the Ivy regular season outright, but a L would drop us into a 4-way 4-2 tie that I believe we come out on top of given the various tiebreakers.

Additionally, Penn has a higher RPI than Princeton, so playing Penn again might give Cornell a marginal benefit in an ILT Semifinal matchup

Long not playing, Caddigan on attack.

Is Mikey Long OK?

No public word on Long, AFAIK.

ILT now set, regardless of the remaining games:

1 Cornell
2 Princeton
3 Yale
4 Penn

Uggh. He just can't stay healthy. I don't see him on the bench in uniform either

We can hope it's minor, and that he stayed behind to rest up.

He is there in street clothes. Nothing obvious coming out to greet team on a play stoppage. 46 not playing either

Step 1: WIN Ivy League
Step 2: Secure home field for ILT
Step 3: WIN ILT
Step 4. WIN NC

2 down, 2 to go.

Congrats to the BIG RED on again winning the IVY LEAGUE outright, and giving us more Home games at the KOPF.

Such a great, gutsy team to root for. Can't wait to watch them next week at the KOPF.

With the next game against Penn, my only suggestion is to put a long pole on Cam Rubin!

Cornell wins the game, and sole possession of the Ivy League title.

Congrats to the team and coaches on a great regular season.

I liked that the team didn't go crazy in celebration at the end of the game. Winning the regular season Ivy League title outright is a huge accomplishment. But that reaction tells me that they've got more/bigger goals in mind.

Good win against a determined but ultimately out-skilled Dartmouth team. Buczek has won at least a share of the ivy title in each of his first 3 years. If he keeps this up he'll end up as one of Cornell's all time greats, just need a couple Nattys!

A couple of notes on goalie play:

First, I feel bad for Tully who gave up three goals (not really his fault) and had zero saves. He wasn't spectacular in the few games he started, but he was solid. Goalie is such a difficult position. You never know when we will need him to step in.

Second, Knust seems to have had a breakthrough since coming in for the second half against Syracuse and reclaiming the starting the job. His numbers have been superb. He had many excellent saves today and credit to the defense for giving him a lot of "save-able" shots.

Workmanlike win today. Cornell took care of business. Kirst was dominant and the offense looked fine without Long. Let's hope it's nothing serious and he is ready for Friday vs Penn. Cadigan filled in well for Long, but Long's passing was missed. I think with Long, they put up 3-4 more goals, but who cares? Goldstein gets better every week.

Knust was on again today and the defense played well. Dartmouth got very few good looks today. The SSDMs played well today.

Staub looked good today. He runs the field so well and is a threat to score.

Cornell struggled on face offs today. There were very few clean wins and there were so many scrums. It seemed that Dartmouth got almost every ground ball on the contested face offs. I would chalk it up to an off week and a tough opponent in Myers. I will say that the numerous lengthy scrums made the game look like a youth game at times. I think Cornell was below 40%.

I don't have the ground ball stats, but I would bet Dartmouth had a big advantage today. It just seemed that Dartmouth came up with almost every loose ball.

Even with the ground ball and face off stats, it was a comfortable win, which says quite a bit about Cornell's talent.

The season may come down to Friday night. A win should enough for a bid absent some unexpected bid steals in conference tournaments. I'm having a hard time understanding how Duke and UVA stay so highly regarded with their spotty records over the past month, but it is what it is. I don't think Cornell gets a bid with a loss to Penn.
