First you got Comey, a lifelong Republican. Who, the data shows, pretty much delivered the WH to Trump with his 10/28/2016 letter to Congress.

Then you have Rod Rosenstein, a lifelong Republican appointed by Trump as USDAG at DOJ. First thing Rosenstein does is, at Trump's request, to lay the groundwork for canning Comey.

Then you have Jeff Sessions, lifelong Republican appointed by Trump to be USAG. Sessions on his own decides to recuse himself from Trump/Russia.

So the decision falls to Rosenstein, who is now finished canning Comey. Rosenstein decides to appoint a special counsel -- Mueller, a lifelong Republican.

Later on Trump appoint Chris Wray, a lifelong Republican, as FBI Director.

Later on, Trump appoints Bill Barr, a lifelong Republican, to be USAG. Barr lets several years pass without doing anything to Hunter.

After Barr departs, Biden and his AG decide to keep US Atty Weiss (a Trump appointee) on board (against normal practice) to continue working the Hunter case. Weiss gets Hunter to plead guilty to two criminal tax charges. Weiss has provided and will provide further sworn testimony to Congress that the Hunter matter was done by the book. Providing that kind of testimony is, obvi, something that MAGAs always refuse to do.

So, basically, Salty's fever dream is that Republican Trump appointees are the people who live to torment Trump and sandbag for the Biden Crime family.

Salty could spend his time more productively digging into Bigfoot sighting and fake moon landings.
