It's a big part of why 71M voted for Trump. The stunned moderate Dems in the House are starting to get it. AOC & her Squad thought it was time to "confront them over their harmful politics and cloaked bigotry." Now she's whining & considering another line of work. Honest political differences are not "cloaked bigotry."
Many people are saying that it is a thoughtful look at why, exactly, so many people would vote for a man of this chararacter who honestly HAS no discernable "policy" beyond things like "build a wall", kill ObamaCare, "socialism bad", China treats us unfairly, keep burning fossil fuel, pack the courts with as many rightwing judges as possible. What else is there, seriously? Certainly nothing "military"-leaning aside from the usual "i built up the biggest military ever."
You yourself refuse to identify the "policies" you think the man is supported on in such a broad way. I think you are displaying a lot of the tendencies that the author of the piece i posted writes about. It's uncomfortable for you to talk about whatever "policy" you think got this kind of vote out for Donald Trump. This conversation most often devolves into obfuscation about "we're NOT all racist bigoted know-nothings. Your resentment comes thru as pure trolling.
It happened though, so i for one want to know why. 70 million votes is a lot of votes. The answer seems elusive and this article talked about an issue bubbling under the surface...seeking to answer the question of that unusual vote count.
Put another way...if you take out all the racist vote, the bigoted misogynist vote, and the "keep your derned hands off my medicare" anti-socialism vote, how many are left over, out of that 70 million?

In one instance (of course there IS more), Trump called for Congress to do something about our crumbling infrastructure of one of our nations most prescious treasures, its National Parks.
Yes, this spring, trump twatted a challenge to COngress, and THEY delivered. Big time. Providing NPS with it's largest fixer upper budget evah.
IS this a bad thing that Trump did?

But, tRump, and tRump alone, does POSITIVE things to ONLY get re-elected. Oh well, you can focus on his motives. The bill got passed with tons of support from both sides of TAATS
of course, the private companies that lease properties/hotels in the NPS system are getting free coin to fix up their cheap nitely stay motels?
https://www.nps.gov/subjects/leasing/op ... nities.htm
I mean, do you think any of tRumps taats cronies get any of these 57 year leases? Why not 5 year leases? At least the BLM (burea of land management has 20 year leases )
so, in short, more graft for tRump and his hotel friends , using public money to fix up the place. Something to do with the Boston Bruins and the "area" around North Station. The Ahwahnee Hotel needs new plumbing.
