The blue wave that was supposed to sweep the House turned into net gains for republicans.

Being in Atlanta but knowing a number of folks in the republican political machine down here I really thought it was be a couple of elections down the road, later this decade where the influence of the city and the general net positive migrations into the state would exert its influence. Not shocked but surprised it came now. A credible Rep pres would’ve bought a lot of time here and maybe been able to hold onto the state longer term.
