School may be surprised at their yield when parents fully grasp that Bloomberg’s $1.8 billion gift will result in eliminating loans for domestic students. That will bring the tuition way down for many incoming freshmen. I expect next year’s offer number to drop considerably when the improved yield rate is factored in.
We'd expect the overall pool to strengthen as well, right?
Double whammy.

HELLO........the drop down menu shows 4 coaches, but only TWO are live links. Ones for Benson and Quin are NOT live.

All this talk about Hopkins being SO smart.......and certainly one of the top funded lacro$$e programs in the country........they can't fix the spelling error? On the website? What's that say about the details, especially that no one else has noticed it.

Details don't matter for goalies, not in the slightest.
yeah, that drop down is messed up...and not spelling Quinn correctly is also sloppy.

Going from the roster to the coaches' full page works fine and the links from there work fine.

Not sure what your comment about goalies and details refers to, just Quinn's misspelling?
Details don't matter for playing the position of goalie. Form, positioning, calls for leading defense. Being sloppy is fine ;)

As a parent potential prospect player.......guess no hits that part of the website.......evah. Go Delaware.

Glad Cole Williams apparently decided to start playing halfway through the season.

So excited to see Stagnitta get his first goal. What a bonus off a nice feed from Williams.

Prouty is 7/10 at the X. Darby is playing well with six saves.

Another truly stupid penalty by senior captain, Danny Jones, leading to a DE goal. That’s not the worst of it ... those are dangerous high hits. Jones should spend some time on the bench.

Otherwise, Blue Jays are turning the ball over too much, but are playing an excellent game, especially Darby.

So many awful turnovers.

Darby playing well. Delaware had only 1 goal in the settled 6v6 offense in the first half (2 in transition off faceoffs, 1 on EMO).

Offense looks a bit better, but still very much a work in progress. Inside finishing is still rough—so many opportunities wasted. Should have 9+ goals.

Congrats to Stagnitta on goal #1. Second midfield looks like Keogh, Baskin, and then a rotation of Stagnitta/Zinn/Lilly/Mabbett.

No talk of restaurants or haircuts or hometowns. It doesn’t feel like an ESPN game at all

Two games in a row where the Jays face a second-half zone and cannot break it down.
I predict they will see a whole lot more zone in coming games.

This is the worst Hopkins team that I have ever seen.

I’ve finally come to grips with it.

- 10 points from Williams and Marr (5 each). Williams played well early, Marr played well late.
- Prouty was officially 17/23 on faceoffs but half of those were against a pole and he turned it over at least 4 or 5 times. Narewski did well to come in late and win three straight cleanly when we needed it.
- Another game above 50% for Darby, overall it was a good effort from him but once again he seemed to lose a little bit of steam as the game went on.
- DeSimone had 3 assists—not going to complain about that—but if there was any doubt still that his confidence is entirely zapped, one need only watch his wide open dunk on the crease in which he sent it sailing over the goal. At this point there's nothing to be done except hope he figures it out.
- Clears were 20/20, which is good news if you care about clearing but very bad news when you consider that means the Jays had 14 non-clearing turnovers. Too many careless passes and forced looks to the middle.
- Delaware's goalie is very, very good (and big). He got in the Jays' shooters' heads a little bit.
- Zinn had two or three very important groundballs off the wing. He is a gear faster than everyone else on the field.

We needed this win, we got this win. It was butt ugly. But it's a win. Unlike the Cuse game, they answered the counterpunch and put the game away late. So that's an improvement I guess.

We're onto Virginia.

Prouty and Darby might've preserved this regimes era. A few turnovers from Prouty but otherwise he and Darby really brought it. Offense was again a dumpsterfire for most of the game after a quick start. Epstein's benching will raise eyes especially when guys like cole, forry and connor have been awful at times this year and nonfactors at other points while not seeing similar personnel changes. Another dumb penalty for Danny Jones, but some key cts and gbs late from guys like Foley and Zinn.

20-20 on clears, solid on d, and 20-6 edge at faceoff with excellent goaltending-the game should not have been close much less in doubt but the 6v6 offense continues to struggle woefully.

Nice work by the way to the delaware goalie. The kid from Towson was excellent, but this guy is better.

Yes, Matt DeLuca may just be better than Tyler Canto, the jury is still out.

A win is a win. Error-prone game by the Blue Jays, but it’s encouraging that they took some hard blows from a pretty good DE team and bounced right back.

Joey Epstein benched after some bad shooting decisions, and had a couple of turnovers, too. Keep forgetting he’s still a freshman.

Much credit to the DE goalie, Deluca. He clearly got into the Blue Jays’ heads.

I have never understood why the Blue Jay offense consistently stalls against a zone defense. Usually takes a team effort to beat a zone, and some good outside shooting. Blue Jays have struggled with both at times, but they should have the basic tools to get the job done.

Blue Jays played good defense most of the game. Darby had another good outing.

No idea why Narewski didn’t take more draws ... nursing an injury?!?

Blue Jays went 4-1 against North Carolina, Princeton, Syracuse, MSM, and (a previously 6-1) Delaware. Wasn’t always pretty, but that’s a pretty good stretch of games if you ask me.

I think the Blue Jays need to win at least 5 more games to ensure themselves of an NCAA tournament berth. Doesn’t really matter how or against whom. Four more wins and they’ll be a bubble team needing some help. Tall challenge.

Blue Jays looked good out there today for certain portions of the game, and fairly mediocre at others. There’s nothing beautiful or elegant about this Hopkins team or season. Blue Jays will just need to work hard and grind out the wins one at a time.

Call this Hopkins team The Lunch Pail Crew.

Disagree. He has been a complete letdown so far and he has had plenty of chances to get going and put the ball in the back of the net. It is time sit him down, let him work out the kinks in practice. Hop needs guys like Zinn to get more pt.

This team with the munchkin midfield is good enough to get by the cupcakes. Virginia will make short work of this present construct of the midfield in my opinion. They are bigger, faster and more skilled.

Was awesome to have Boyle and Zim call the game. No haircut talk, no local MIAA talk, no endless naval gazing of top players on other teams not in the game, no mention that Kyles dad is Scott Marr just a knowledgeable crew that called what was in front of them. Well done!

Still don't understand the reference to goalies, other than perhaps Quinn, but yeah, the goalie position leaves little to no room for sloppiness.
Delaware tender is having an excellent season, biggest single reason why Delaware has a decent season going.
