OK, then. Didn't see that coming. Next year definitely won't be more of the same. Thinking this materially improves the likelihood of No. 51 being used by a transfer from Cornell next year.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
I had totally forgotten he was at Air Force and thought they had plucked him from the "pros" or he wasn't coaching at all; a bit less shocking since he's been in the college game, but that's still way, way out of left field
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Hello, B1G. We're Back! I think we just heard the B1G coaches collectively swallow, hard.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Think Rabil and Quint will ever apologize for their initial dissing of PM?
Me neither.
Me neither.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Air Force's goals per game average increased from 7.6 to 11.3 after Junior was hired.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
I mean, he is coaching, rather than playing, but at a minimum and even if he's not a great OC, this has to really help with recruiting. Will be very weird for Hop to be Canadian in style (I know there have been some successful Canadians at Hop - JT, Benn, etc - and we have a couple coming next year).
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
John Grant Jr. named OC
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Hopkins has A LOT to be excited about with this new staff and the talent that's in the cupboard

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Think he could give a few tips to Epstein, Williams, Grimes, Murphy, and Angelus about playing attack?
Should also help with recruiting from Colorado and Canada.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
I suspect Williams (and maybe others) got a heads up about JGJr. Williams probably slammed on the brakes and turned the car around to Baltimore.primitiveskills wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 11:23 pmVery happy about this. He's a unique player, tough to stop when he's on his game, and will be surrounded by alot more talent next year. More importantly, it's a big "get" for Milliman as he tries to establish his program.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
if anything, won't this help Hopkins to get really good Canadians to come to Homewood? I thought the general consensus was that Canadian players have amazing stick skills and can catch passes in tight windows to then try and score. Sure they have a big box background, but the staff can develop their field game too
I'm very excited with this hire!

Now we need Hopkins Medicine to add to the good news by announcing clinical trials for a vaccine.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
The dynamics in the B1G just changed with the last 2 coordinator hires. Home runs!

I think you should withhold judgment until they let you film the Alumni game.Hoponboard wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 3:15 pm Just went upstairs and slipped on my Hopkins Lacrosse sweatshirt. We are back Jays fans!
I bet there's going to be a big turnout for the Alumni game this fall.
