Hey not certain if you saw my post. I just got bored posting. Didn’t seem to be doing much other than talking in circles.

Anyway, yes Florida is getting more red every day. When Murphy Jack’s up the tax rate in a state like NJ (many wealthy residents), and Biden does the same nationwide, mobile capital moves away. And that money is coming here. If I had advice for any young kid, I’d tell them to move to Florida or Texas, or Idaho or Wyoming, or Tennessee or Alabama. Business is booming and people enjoy the lifestyle.

A nearby SWFL club community I know had 58 houses for sale in February. Today they have 5.

Anyhow, as long as Mitch controls the Senate, the election was a win for the sane taxpayers. If Trump isn’t around for the requisite TDS, I’d think the next R candidate (Noem for me!) will roll.

In Nevada, very close but predominantly from Vegas and Reno, heavy Dem areas.

Could go the other way, but doesn't sound like it.

From what I keep hearing, one of the more effective campaigning coming from Trump and other Republicans was constantly hammering that Biden and Democrats are socialists and are gonna somehow turn the US into Venezuela / Cuba. Certainly picked up a few Cuban and Central and South American immigrant votes there. We obviously heard that line parroted around here a lot.

It's going to be interesting digging through the data to see why people voted certain ways this election. Lots of emotional votes this go around.

Nope. Remember McConnell? Biden won't pass a single major bill for four years. We've seen this movie before.

McConnell will hold us in gridlock because it makes it impossible to govern, and McConnell thinks this helps Republicans in Congress. So that's what we're gonna get.

And in four years, just like we got under Trump? We'll be back here with the same problems we've had for decades. Education, infrastructure, health care, immigration.....all will go unfixed.

Oh well. Maybe next election.
Why do you perpetuate this myth? That the US Senate majority leader has this much power. It IS just not legally true.
Because he has to blame somebody when his preferences don't become laws.

He knew there would be massive pushback calling it with that much vote uncounted, had them explain their decision, then defended them.

Too bad the other nerworks weren't that hard on their pollsters who suppressed the vote for months before the election with their bogus predictions.

 And what preferences are that? Please----enlighten me. There wasn't a single specific bill I wanted passed during McConnell. My complaint, as you very well know, is that NOTHING HAPPENED under McConnell. Not even infrastructure. Not even military spending. For. six. years.

It wasn't that they had valid policy disagreements, Old Salt. The problem, as you know, but as usual want to play dumb.....is that McConnell thought that if Obama solved even one single solitary problem that Americans were having? Well, that'd be a win for Obama. So McConnell sandbagged, and did nothing.

And the minute Trump and his little R arrived? Out comes McConnell's checkbook to the rescue. Blowing TRILLIONS of dollars----and only 1/4 of it on the military. The rest of it? Domestic buffalocookies...trillions of it. And did you look at this and realize that our military suffered because of McConnell's game?

F no. He's a made man with you, because of a little R.

But yeah, act like I'm the problem here. Knock yourself out.

interesting. trump needs to get 52% - 58% in arizona with the rest of the votes to be counted. supposed to be 600k plus. they just got 57% with the first data dump, which was 82 k, or about 13-14% of the total. next one up is at 12 or 12.30 a.m.

Think I heard outstanding Nevada is all mail in, with a chunk still to be counted in the two largest (D majority) counties.

Fox decision desk says they may be able to call Nevada somewhat soon. Not clear if that is today. One would think not if NV isn’t going to report any more votes today.

Outstanding ballots in Georgia compared to Trump’s margin makes things look good for Trump there.

Still think PA is an uphill battle for Joe. Possible though. Trump’s lead is decreasing, but very slowly. - but consistently
I heard they weren't going to begin dumping Phillie mail in until this evening. It looks like he is making up ground from other areas.

a number of interviews said maricopa was over 400k (i heard 425) of the 600k left before the first dump. maricopa is 60% of the state total, so this leftover represents more than their state average.
there's plenty of other moving parts, from this being last minute drop offs (pseudo in person, which r's crushed in maricopa), vs. mail ins from days ago, etc. trump's behind and desperate. we will see how it goes.

That is totally unfair. FNC called AZ long before any other news outlet (even the AP & NYT), including all the other tv networks.

He knew there would be massive pushback calling it with that much vote uncounted, had them explain their decision, then defended them.

Too bad the other nerworks weren't that hard on their pollsters who suppressed the vote for months before the election with their bogus predictions.
OK, maybe my comment saying his discussion with the decision desk was a bit ugly was a little overboard, but
he seemed to be pretty clearly carrying water for Trump in the discussion. Hence my toadyism comment.

Also, I’ve watched a fair amount of Bret over the past couple of days and have found him to be much more partisan than usual. Generally, I have found him to be somewhat objective. But not in his coverage of this election. Not saying he is in the Tucker/Sean/Laura league.
