This could prove a huge chip for the entire blue hen team. Rally behind their main focal point Kitchen. I think Kitchen goes nuts tonight.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood on Long Island today ... sunny, cool (high of low 60s expected), slight breeze. Perfect weather for lacrosse!

Good luck to all the teams. Play hard, stay safe and may the best teams win!

Agreed. What a day to be on Long Island. Have fun. Should be two ridiculously competitive games.

A shout out to all the seniors and graduate students who sacrificed so much to make this season a reality.

It has been a blast!

Hofstra played a terrific game today. That is CAA championship play. Smart disciplined defense and of course, a one-goal victory. The last two weeks Casey has been great in goal.

Best of luck to the Pride moving forward.

I will miss watching this Delaware team play. Especially the seniors. Charlie Kitchen was a lot of fun to watch for the last five years and ended his career with another 5 point game (3g 2a). Jake Hervada played his heart out today winning 12 of 22 draws. Ryan Shaw completed a great career playing some short stick midfield today. He would step in wherever they needed him including at FOGO last year against Marist when the Hens were short in that spot. These guys will be missed.

The Hens will have a heck of a team returning next year. Maybe Coach DeLuca can convince Mark Beida, Matt Kilkeary and Peter St. Geme to stay for a fifth year?

Still need to get over that playoff hump. Maybe year 4 for DeLuca will have different results for the Hens?

But there is no denying that it was a great season. Sad to see it end.

That was a well played game by both teams. The difference was short sticking McIntosh. It's not a bad plan coming into the game. McIntosh has been limping around since coming back but fully healthy today. Delaware stuck with it for too long. They should have recognized it sooner. He was on.

Grant #81 did some job on Tierney. Is RT healthy?

Agree. Great win! Just want him full strength for the CAA champs and the NCAAs. I would have lost a lot of money hearing the Pride won and RT was not on the board. Great player!

UMass without a second half goal two weeks in a row up to this point. Earlier Hofstra much made sure CAA would only be a one bid league again.

Drexel is shooting for two NCAA bids, which I couldn’t say
which school last did that.
The women’s team, never close to an NCAA - is a
very likely, I’d be shocked if it didn’t happen - NCAA
seeded team, maybe a 7 or 8 seed.
The men’s team, eight straight,
so its either the Dragons or the Dutch for the NCAA,
Drexel Hofstra have had some tremendous match ups
in thr finals.

saw hofstra was on the normal visiting team side , did they use their locker room or the visiter?

Higher-ranked Delaware was the home team. Strange to see our guys on the left side of the homestands and wearing their blue road jerseys at home!

Hofstra used its regular locker room. Delaware came out of the basement stairs on the west side of Margiotta Hall. I believe that used to be the home locker room many years ago.

Congratulations Drexel, the best offense won the Conference. Adding Durkin as DC has been a good move. Mulchay is a gritty lil player. Cole is the closest thing to a crease Attackman as we have seen in a while. Womack out of the box has been a really nice touch. I said 13-11 Drexel over Delaware... not to far off.

Prior to their 2007 game, Drexel’s men’s lacrosse team was 0 for 24 in games against Hofstra. In 2007, Andrew Chapman, Greg Casey, Colin Ambler and the rest of the Dragons rallied late in the game to secure their very first victory in the series. In 2021 the Dragons beat the Pride three times in a single season, including a blow-out in the CAA championship game. My, how things have changed.
