Did you follow that up with Kenny G!!! My goodness man, come on..... if you need some suggestions let me know.... I was playing George Winston on my college radio show when I was a student....! I can't imagine you sitting at home sipping on a hot toddy listening to new age jazz. Andreas Vollenweider is next! Don't let the fellas on the job site know!

As a musician that lost my way after marriage and kids and coaching, I often find myself going back to simplicity with few instruments. I was a bass player, we are a bit different than the others as you can tell ;) . It drives my wife crazy when we are driving because I am always filling the off-beats with a bass lines. We tend to find space and time for octave and quick riffs. I can still kick it with some DC go-go, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane or even high end Stanley Clark.

Send your suggestions, they are always welcome.

I played bass too. Will send you some things you may like. For starters, buy Bill Evans Sunday Night at the Village Vanguard....Scott LaFaro was a master bass player! More meat on the bone than a George Winston record....but just as nice.

Ummm...where's the beef there???
Am envious of those of you who can play instruments. If I had it all to do over again, learning to play an instrument would be high my on my list. Very cool stuff.

It was relative to George Winston. Not too far afield but more meat. A lot going on in that tune but it's subtle. For something more raucous....

Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You

big hit back in 2003 - strangely, I didn't care for it back then but appreciate it now

I guess this song is appropriate for the year's end/new beginning.

Let us all hope for the best ...
