Denver wins 11-10 in OT. Ethan Walker scored on assist from Babcock.

Incredible lacrosse from from two exceptional lacrosse teams.
+1

I can't wait to see Georgetown and Villanova play again in the first round of the Big East tournament.

I feel a Lehigh upset coming.

The assist was from Lucas Cotler, but you’re absolutely right — a great game from two good teams!

Man that was a good game. Hope Nova still has some gas left for their game vs Lehigh - it was hot out there.

Huge swing for Denver when they disallowed Daly’s rebound goal in 2nd quarter and Denver went down and scored. The replay showed it should have been a goal clear as day.

Wouldn't be surprised if Nova comes out even more ready for Lehigh on Saturday now. Having played a tougher schedule might work in their favor, too.

Gotta tell you that Providence's venue is one of the best in the game!

If Villanova beats Lehigh, after Georgetown's loss to Loyola, assuming neither Nova or G-Town win the Big East Tournament, could the Semifinal between the two of them end up being for a spot in the NCAA Tournament?

Big East should get 2, Denver is in. The other is probably the winner of Georgetown-Villanova

You think Villanova could still get an at-large if they lose to Lehigh? Lehigh is very good. But that would give Nova five losses(twice to G-Town and Denver, too)? And they would have six if they don't win the conference tournament.

My take is Nova most likely won't get in unless they win the BETourney.

If Nova beats Lehigh or Georgetown I could see them getting in over Army or Rutgers. They have similar resumes to those. No bad losses. But they need that marquee win. Missed the chance vs Denver; got two more

Army gets a boost from Loyola today but the Syracuse win value is still TBD
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Good one between Marquette and St. John's today, with the Golden Eagles winning, 15-14. They have a lot of good, young talent!

Wow! So far, Nova is playing some of the best lax seen by any Big East team this season. 9-2, Cats.

13-4 Nova at the end of three quarters.

Nova had 20 shots in the first quarter and out shot Lehigh 27 to 14 in the first half.

Nova wins 16-8. Total performance by the Wildcats. The score was 12-2 in the middle of the third quarter.

The senior defense played phenomenally well. Held Mule to one goal; Schelling and Kirst each scored twice; no assists. 14 caused turnovers. Prybylski led with 4 and Kennedy had 3. Vitton finished with 9 stops on 7 goals.

On offense, Nova had 8 different scorers, including 5 with two or more goals. Lehigh struggled to clear the ball and Spence’s play in goal for the Mountain Hawks prevented a larger scoring margin. The Cats took 43 shots overall and 30 on goal.

After Lehigh scored its first goal in the middle of the first, Nova outscored the Hawks 11-1, a run that lasted into the third. (This in spite of the fact that the Lehigh won 21 of 26 faceoffs in the game).

Congrats to the Villanova seniors on their last home game.

My take is Gtown can get in even with a loss to Nova on Thursday. They’d still win the head to head battle 2-1 vs Nova and have a win over Denver (which Nova couldn’t do). It is a very challenging predicament for those deciding.

The really tricky part would be if Nova gets the automatic with a finals win over Denver. Not sure the Big East will have enough cache to get 3 in.
