Of the 16 games played so far, 10 were won by margins of 9 or more. 4 of the remaining 6 were won by 3 goals or higher. Two 1 goal games. So Best doesn’t translate into competitive games most of the time, but rather—blowouts.

We list all the games. In order of Best Game to Not-Best-Game. When there are more than 20-25 games, we only list the Top 20-25.

Putting this here as there has been some recent discussion in this thread about Covid’s effect on the scheduling of women’s lacrosse games.

Just saw that the Duke men’s basketball team is out of the ACC tournament due to Covid exposure.

Hopefully that doesn’t happen to the women’s lacrosse tournaments, but that remains to be seen.

Hoping with you, Bill. This season had an asterisk beside it before the first draw. I’m overjoyed that we have lacrosse in ‘21, but the record books should all have a little star stamped in them when Memorial weekend is over. It does indeed remain to be seen what the postseason looks like. I agree from earlier, games can’t get postponed. Either field a team for gameday or forfeit.

everyone needs to understand this isn't a team decision not to play, or duck potential tough matchups...everyone wants to play. Teams are handcuffed by school/AD rules and agreements and conference rules.

I think everyone understands that. I don’t think anybody thinks the Duke team would want to forfeit an ACC tournament game. Had to have been a schoolwide, or at least an athletic department-wide, policy. I suspect it’s been in place all season.

Likely to keep pressure on the kids to be good doobies. Seems a bit extreme to me, but it’s not my decision to make, and I’m not responsible for everyone impacted.

compounding all this is that literally every school has different rules as well as conferences, it makes is tough, especially on the student-athletes. The NCAA blew it by not taking the lead on this so that it was a level playing field for everyone - including things like practice time.
