I didn't see Mueller out there. Didn't see #1 in goal, and wasn't sure of Sherman's number when watching. By memory, I dont think I saw 6 out there. I wish Ted and Mapstone would call the scrimmages too.

Hobart is getting some national exposure courtesy the ACC Network on Friday. 2/25 at 7 PM v our old friends/nemesis Syarcuse. Glad that the media powers that be are acknowledging this as an important game. The Kraus-Simmons Trophy is on the line. It last resided in Geneva in 2013. Cuse looks like they are loaded for a run to Memorial Day weekend. Hope the Statesmen can trip them up.

Anyone see the scrimmages today or hear anything? Someone confirmed to me that Luccesi wasn't in net last week. Maybe a minor injury.

Saw about 3 quarters vs UVA. Scoreboard not in use. Not sure who was playing for Hoos. Bart was very competitive. Luchessi was en fuego 🔥. Holden with multiple goals. UVA rode hard, but gave up a couple fast break goals. Overall good performance.

On the UVA thread it said that a number of starters played very little v Hobart but, Bart played well and looked good.

I had read that:

end of first 4-3 Hobart, end of second 8-4 Hobart, end of third 10-7 Hobart.

Nice job Bart!

4 games out of 5 at home to start the season. Have to get out of the gate with some momentum from that. Not sure if there will be a re schedule to indoor venue or not as the cold winds of February blow.

Saturday’s game against Canisius will be played in the Bubble. That means no general admission. Not sure how I feel about that since I was looking forward to seeing the game in person. You have to wonder how many of the early season games are going to be available to the general public. We’re fortunate that we have WEOS and the video feed.

True but a low of 12 means it had to be in the dome. Hopefully it'll warm up soon.

What do you guys think an acceptable margin to win by Saturday? I feel like we need to win NEC going away this year or bust.

I hope they face a zone. Opening day you never know what to expect. I just want to see high intensity for 4 quarters.

Not sure if we have a true zone buster ala Tanner John. Madonna and Scott have some range. Hope our new OC has some tricks up his sleeve and our defense remembers to keep the back door shut.

Just to be clear, it was the mention of the starting midfielder for Hobart that I was laughing at. But point well taken.

It’s a 1:20 min clip that makes light of Hobart in a reference. And it’s a cartoon, not sure how that could be construed as posting something political. Way too sensitive, unless that clip isn’t a parody of older albums from Geneva, by the time I was there Dick Hersh has nearly eradicated all fraternities and kids were fighting at the Holiday like it was a MMA Cage.

I’d much rather have that public reference than the NYT story a few years back about our administrative justice system or how our shiny new president had fabricated his work towards a PhD.

(Setting aside the fact that the monthly labor data is basically a random number generating machine I can say from worked closely with macroeconomic data in my life...)

In the absence of game notes would anyone like to venture on the starting lineup? I‘m particularly interested in the defense and LSM. Does anyone know if Mueller is ready to go?

Not 100% sure, but bet I’m pretty close
Attack—Holden, Knox, Archer
Mid 1—Scott, Mott, Madonna
Mid 2–Herlihy, Baltzer, Grooms
LSM—EBF, Hurley, Ryan
SSDM—Hocheimer, Driscoll, Sherman if healthy, Mitrow
Der—-Christensen, Nalen, Delpha
Goalie—-Lucchesi

Might put Yanko on mid 2.
Maybe a full mid 3 with Simas and Mitrow.
Blanchard at FOGO, but with Shea going in now and then.
Dan Ryan at LSM.
