This game looks over,
UMass cannot score,

wide open hidden ball trick, real good fake,
but Hens miss wide open net.

2nd half shut out by Delaware,
what can you say,

UMass is very good, and they shut them down.

9 to 6 ⭐️⭐️

What are the tie breakers if we get a 3 way tie for the last 2 spots?

Not a great half for the Dutch,
but Dylan Beckwith with a tremendous half.

Somehow, the Dutch were able to put Dylan
McIntosh back together again, probably crazy glue

— and get him back on the field today

The CAA is nutty.

That’s it Stags,

just DON’T cover Ryan Tierney,

a defensive gem,
15-14 Dutch.

So, where do things stand?

Are Delaware and Drexel, at least until after the Towson/Drexel game, the only two teams guaranteed spots in the CAA Tournament? Or are either UMass or Hofstra already in?

The Towson announcers said that a "committee" will determine who makes the tournament if UMass, Hofstra and Towson all finish with 4-4 conference records.

In 2017, the seeding tiebreaker was goal differential in conference games. Currently, UMass leads with +15 and Hofstra is +2. Towson started the day -6 and would need to defeat Drexel by 9 to finish ahead of Hofstra in this scenario.

From 2017:

"Drexel, Hofstra and Massachusetts all finished tied for second in the CAA standings at 3-2, which forced the trio into a goal differential three-way tie-breaker. Hofstra, with the highest goal differential during CAA play, earned the No. 2 seed. The Minutemen then collected No. 3 by virtue of their Senior Night win over Drexel."

The despair in the voice of Spiro Morekas was pretty tough to take.

Towson played a nice game but made way too many mistakes in the fourth quarter to escape this one. The turnover on the first pass of a man-up with 4 minutes left was a microcosm of their season. Too careless on offense, especially with the possession disparity they dealt with today.

Oh well, you won't see me crying for Towson. 4 very good teams left in the CAA. Tournament will be a blast.

What a way close to the regular season!

So, is it safe to say it will be Delaware vs. Hofstra and Drexel vs. UMass?

The Drexel coaches made a nice call.
They replaced Aiden Coll with Luke Tomak at attack,
letting him iso from behind, Tomak got two key 4th quarter goals as a result.

Drexel has the best offense in the conference. Can the defense hold up?

I think Drexel is very balanced on offense where they don't completely rely on 1-2 "studs" for all of their production. But Delaware has the top offense with the alpha Kitchen and that attack. They just rang 18 on Towson the week prior.
