Rudy says Hunter's lawyer called MacIssac's lawyer wanting to retrieve Hunter's laptop. Supposedly referred him to the FBI.
Of course this is false.

You really think Hunter's lawyer would be soooooo stupid as to make such a damaging, unilateral, unprompted admission on behalf of his client? Seriously?

I mean, come on. Even Rudy knows a real lawyer wouldn't do that.

Reports are that Hunter's lawyer called computer guy up and asked him what's your story. Then confirmed the conversation in writing/email stating the following:

"From: "Mesires, George R."
Date: October 13, 2020 at 6:58:59 PM EDT
To: JP MacIssac
Subject: George Mesires contact information

John Paul:

Thank you for speaking with me tonight. As I indicated, I am a lawyer for Hunter Biden and I appreciate you reviewing your records on this matter. Thank you.

Not even close to what Drunk Uncle Rudy said.
Where did you get that email from Hunter's lawyer ?
Twitter & Facebook are supposedly blocking posts on this story.

Another loss for Trump: the debate commission announced they will be muting candidates’ microphones on Thursday. Mics will be muted when the other guy is using his two minutes to address an issue. Yippee!

Cue the “they are so unfair to me” tweets.

i guess we can look forward to election month going forward for decades to come.

i don't see any problems here.
People have been voting for weeks. This isn’t new.
huh? what are the results so far?
Not sure. Buddy voted in South Carolina last week.

Vote early
South Carolina voters can also vote before Election Day through a process called absentee in-person voting. The period for absentee in-person voting runs from Monday, October 5, 2020 to Monday, November 2, 2020, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.....Trump has created an issue like he normally does. Take something....make a big deal out of it....when the commotion dies down, claim you fixed it. Rinse and repeat.
maybe just me, but 2000 election wasn't my cup of tea. extremely close, in some ways unavoidable.
turning elections into 2000 by choice is tea i don't wish to drink. early voting and not having election returns on "election night" are 2 diff things.
i could care less what trump thinks about it.

Blame it on the pandemic. I don’t believe someone woke up and said, “hey let’s make this like 2000 for no good reason”... If the virus is really raging in 2 weeks it probably helps keep citizens engaged with civic activity.....we survived 2000....we may survive this but who knows. We have a nut in the White House.

Do you think it's to his advantage, or disadvantage, to participate? Seems he has quite an uphill battle at this point, so would a contentious debate help or hinder his reelection chances?

Who knows. I don’t think it matters much one way or the other. Dude has had four years to expand his base and he has squandered it. He may win anyway. Nothing would surprise me. In 2016, I watched a lot of programming leading up to the election. This year I have watched almost 0 programming. I don’t watch political entertainment shows. If I am watching any kind of news programming in the evening, it’s Bloomberg TV.

Have to agree on the squandering the base. Or maybe he didn't really have a base but moreso a collaboration of people who wanted other than Hillary? Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Well there's a new one.

I'll be using it if Biden can manage to win, and complaints about what Biden promised or said during the campaign.

"Oh, he didn't mean what he said----he was just having fun at Biden rally." (facepalm)

This nation can still sink further down, folks. Bank on it.
Bank on it. Yesterday a sitting United States Senator suggested on television that one of Vice President Biden’s sons had child porn on “his” computer. There is no bottom to Trumpism. And plenty of folks share in the complicity with that dive to the sea floor.
I wasted some time yesterday listening to the blind guy’s long audio interview. One of the things he said is that there was no child pornography on the computer.

Now, the Trumpists’ response, I’m sure, is, hey, the guy is blind. Of course he couldn’t see what was on the computer.

In their ignorance, they don’t explain why the blind guy was able to read these alleged emails.

But nobody ever said these deplorables were smart.
bill -- no one has actually claimed there's child porn on the computer. It's being insinuated by citing the supposed signature on the subpoena as the name of a NJ FBI agent who worked child porn cases. Even if that agent is involved it could be because it's in his region & he's experienced at computer forensics.

The irresponsible Money Honey is the one who explicitly raised the child porn possibility. Sen Johnson didn't confirm it & back pedaled away from it. Rudy doesn't say child porn. He's non-specific & says there's "disgusting" stuff. That's why the FBI needs to say something non-specific which kills this aspect of the speculation. This is fodder for the vile Q stuff that needs to be debunked before it spreads further. obtw -- that's not censorship. ...& it's not necessarily commenting on an investigation. It's countering supposed Russian election interference disinformation.
Thanks for the salt-splaining. Got it.

Here are the final state unemployment rates before the election.

Michigan: 8.5% --> 10th worst in US
Pennsylvania: 8.1% -->14th worst in US
Florida: 7.6%

AZ: 6.7%
Wisconsin: 5.3% -->One of the best

The overall US unemployment rate was 7.9% in September

That's ~272,000 fewer Michiganders with jobs

Pa unemployment rate a year ago: 4.6%

Whenever anyone is in court to make it *harder* for Americans to vote, we have to ask: why?

Define harder?

We must both be the same kind of sick YA. My post below will certainly cause me to be excoriated as a hate filled racist homophobe. I checked with my wife before I posted it and explained the context to her. She thought it was funny too. IMO ever since "queer eye for the straight guy" there has been some wiggle room put forward as president.
