Do wonder what happens with guys like Sawyer and N. DeMaio, didn't get on the field really last year and now you bring in 3 elite recruits, plus a transfer. Maybe they just play a bunch of guys and they see time, but a lot of good players are gonna be left out to some degree.
N.DeMaio is looks mostly like a left-hand finisher and will have to duel it out with Daniel Kelly when Wisnauskas leaves. N.DeMaio was a top 20 recruit after his junior HS season.
When you look at the Terps roster, Sawyer is listed at 150 lbs, so he might just need to bulk up some.

Looks like ESPNU will be re-airing some Maryland games over the next week starting on Friday. Games include Maryland vs Towson and the 2017 championship game.

Also look like ACCN on the app will have the Colgate games btw UNC and Syracuse so you can get a look at Brown on Friday

Whew...won't mind having a righty shooter like that to complement DeMaio and Logan on the left side! Upper 90 off of the defenseman's ear?! Yes please!

Ty Xanders reports that:
.@TerpsMLax
sophomore defenseman Jack DeSantis has entered the transfer portal, according to a source. Ranked as @ILPreps
' No. 58 recruit and 15th defender in the Class of 2018, the Ohio native played in five career games in College Park.

Too bad. Wonder if Burlace coming in next year impacted this move

Likely - I mean between Makar, both Burlaces, and Schirtzer coming in, where is he finding playing time?

FlyEaglesFly wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:30 pm Brown is a solid player, really good shooter, but doesn’t create much on his own. Will be interesting to see who will stir the drink for the Terps if Bernhardt doesn’t come back. I guess it would be Bubba out of the midfield maybe.
Fly-Eagle--guess you didn't watch the Syracuse game? A guy named Mellen was matchup up against Brown, and he couldn't stop him. At all. Brown was a complete matchup problem for 'Cuse against their top cover guy. Until Mellen went out with an injury.
Brown is definitely legit, but it did seem like an unusually rough day at the office for Mellen. Kennedy bottled him up pretty well when he switched on to Brown in the second half. Wouldn't read into his results against Mellen too much. Also Mellen did stop him strait up a handful of times. Although one particular dodge he did from X would probably have beaten just about anybody. Impressive player!

Maybe. Although he wasn't playing much and for the 2nd season in a row Tillman seemed to prefer playing a converted short stick midfielder over him.

Well have officially learned of one sr not coming back

After helping Maryland to a National Championship and three Big Ten Championships on the lacrosse field, Blake Carrara has his sights set on a different field: mechanical engineering. The Wading River, N.Y. native is set to graduate with a degree in the study this spring, and has accepted a job as a field engineer for Whiting-Turner in their Baltimore headquarters. One of Whiting-Turner’s landmark projects included one of the University’s now-signature facilities: the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Innovation.
“Maryland lacrosse has made me the person I am today, and I have my coaches and teammates to thank for that. I’ll forever be grateful for being able to go to work every single day with my closest friends and being coached by the best in the nation, with amazing support staff. Maryland provided me with one of the greatest lacrosse and overall experiences that one could ask for, and I’ll always be thankful for that."

Congratulations,Blake!
Getting an mechanical enery degree while playing lacrosse must have been challenging.

Let's see, the first law of thermodynamics was essentially about the conversion of energy. U is the internal energy (sometimes dE).
dU = TdS - pdV or something like that. We could replace TdS by the change in heat.
It's been a long time since I went through that stuff.

Kudos to Blake. I have had the opportunity to teach part of a ME senior year elective class the past two years on campus. Maryland does a phenomenal job pumping out top notch ME's...and Engineers in general. We also participate in the recruiting events on campus....many of our employees are Terps. nIce to see a laxer in the mix ....high praise to Blake.

Awesome news on Grill. Everyone who was starting on the defensive end at the end of the season will be back next year, plus Burlace coming in and Shirtzer as a top 25 guy from HS. Lot of talent materializing on the defensive side of the ball again.

For what is worth Xanders did a podcast on the IL top transfer guys in the portal. When talking about Brown he said he did not see this as sign that Bernhardt was not coming back and felt Brown would play midfield

Everyone coming back on offense and adding a guy like Brown feels like too many good things. That would be crazy.

Should give BJ Burlace and Shirtzer a chance to develop their games behind the starters. Perhaps we will see Burlace at LSM some. Let's not forget the other 3 incoming freshmen: Ajax Zappitello, Nick Redd, and Jack McDonald (LSM) as we have often seen lower ranked and unranked defensemen end up as starters for the Terps.

There is also Ubriaco at LSM
