You didn't hear about it because he was a white guy.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 1:47 pmI have not seen any of this but was wondering if the Mace guy was on drugs and died of an overdose?ggait wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 1:22 pmNew video out from the Denver shooting on Sunday. Taken by the press producer who the unlicensed security guard was guarding. My bet is that the guy found himself in a bad situation and made a mistake by shooting a menacing guy who slapped him in the face and also maced him.
1. Mace guy (backed by five other "patriots") is mixing it up with solo BLM kid. One of the patriots is armed with a visible knife (undrawn). Another has a night stick out. Another has a mace can out. Likely there's other weapons too.
2. Mace guy pulls out his mace.
3. Then mace guy realizes he is being recorded.
4. Mace guy walks towards the news camera man aggressively.
5. Mace guy says to camera man "This is not a place for a camera. Get the cameras out of here or I'm going to eff you up. Mother effer."
6. Security guard steps in front of camera guy.
7. Mace guy hits security guard in the face.
8. Mace guy sprays mace at security guard.
9. Security guard pulls gun and shoots.
TBD what charges security guard will face. It will be something, but not murder 1, given the macer's aggression and assault.
Mace guy (a Navy vet who should know better) gets a Darwin award. He could have walked away at any time. And if you choose to escalate with punches and mace, consider the possibility that your mace-ee may escalate with something more powerful.
DA has asked for more time to consider charges -- none filed yet. Supposedly, the news station didn't want the guard to be armed and didn't know he had a gun. Guard did have a concealed carry permit.

Not sure where you're holed up, but in my purple state of Virginia, and more specifically in a very conservative military town of Virginia Beach, 95% of my DMV dealings are with a click online. If not, I can still go online and check to see the wait lines and go where I want when it's down to a 5-10 minute wait which is like 80% of the time.wgdsr wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:02 pmif they figure it out, they should let my dmv know.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 10:40 pm In a country with a higher level of illiteracy than the US, no such long queues have been seen in previous elections.

The biggest gripe is dealing with the 18-22 year old kids on the freeway who spent their signing bonus on a bike or a charger / mustang / camaro with an 18% interest rate weaving in and out of traffic and backing up the bridge / tunnels after their accidents going 20-30 over the limit. DMV gives them licenses like candy.

Maybe since the Democrats have become such vocal critics of excessive spending, some of them will sign up for the tea party? They could put their money where there mouth is. IMO it will be interesting to see if the fiscal outrage among Democrats continues if Joe wins. It could just vanish like a fart in the wind never to be seen or heard from again.SCLaxAttack wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:55 pmWhat’ll probably actually happen is the Tea Party will suddenly reappear because adding to our collosal debt is only bad when Democrats do it.cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 4:24 pmWelcome aboard.

I have no idea who is gonna win, and obviously nor do you (Democrats are constitutionally incapable of nuanced analysis, so best to avoid deep convos with them). I would note that Democrats have this weird need to spike a football after every play, which I find to be the mark of a total amateur. Because it is.
In any event, even the DNC's house organ the NYTimes has a very sobering piece today for you fellas, which I suggest you read in silence so you actually understand the points this writer is making...rather than run to the Internet and scream in the echo chamber with all the other dummies you surround yourself with. The last thing we can afford as a country is for the mental wards to fill up suddenly the morning of November 4.

There are too many things in the article for me to list but the below is one such thing you should focus on, as these particular voters are almost 100% sure to vote:
Florida, since the state’s March primary, added 195,652 Republicans and 98,362 Democrats.
Pennsylvania, since June, Republicans plus 135,619, Democrats up 57,985.
North Carolina, since March, Republicans up 83,785 to Democrats 38,137.
(truth of the matter I suppose I prefer that you keep yenta-ing each poll which shows 'Biden ahead in Georgia by 7 points'... nothing will go wrong there for you, for sure! ). If you want another explainer why polling anymore is a dumb metric, feel free to ask. Otherwise, please hold your giddiness for the night of 11-3, otherwise you are setting yourself up for a breakdown.

It is going just the way I figured it would. There is nobody from either party that has any motivation to cut any spending.foreverlax wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 7:43 amTrump promised to eliminate the debt in 8 years....how's that going?cradleandshoot wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 7:08 amThe subject comes up at least once a week on Drudge. The hypocrisy among Republicans is embarrassing. They opined forever about out of control spending. I understand Covid has created big problems trying to control spending. The Republicans had gone spending crazy long before Covid became an issue.holmes435 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:51 pmI have seen hardly any headlines about the deficit and debt since the tax bill was passed. The most I hear about it is around here. We've had a few other things in the news since thencradleandshoot wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 4:24 pmWelcome aboard. There are least a few of us in fan lax land that have been griping about the debt for years. No need to worry, if Joe wins our debt wont be a problem anymore. It will magically vanish from the headlines. Hell we might have people start telling us again that this massive debt load is actually a very good thing for the country. I could not run my household finances in such an irresponsible manner. Nobody I know of has ever accused the US government of ever being responsible.
Don't worry though, if Biden squeaks this out, it will be the leading headline on day 2 from Fox.
The business owner forum I visit is getting concerned about controlled and uncontrolled inflation, especially if we get another COVID relief bill. .GOV would potentially be happy to see it to help alleviate the debt issue. And there are some pretty big (and very smart) fish in there compared with my small hill of beans company.
We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents.
