Army at 10, beneath UNC.

Correct. UNC has better wins and slightly worse losses.

Army has one nice win over top 10 Cornell, and a good winning percentage, but not much else. Lehigh is bordering on a bad loss at 26 RPI. I think #10 is generous. #5 is ridiculous.

Not saying I would put Army @ #5, put damn sure I wouldn't put UNC @ #8.

Though to be fair, they do have those "good losses" everyone gets so worked up about. Hell, maybe they belong in the top 3./

I put UNC at #11. They have a very solid win resume, depending on how you view Brown ... which I rate highly. 4 losses, but all to top 12 rpi teams.

UNC. 8-4 /// Brown (9), Richmond (18), Hopkins (22), High Point (28) /// L: Duke (12), Ohio State (10), Virginia (7), Virginia (7)

Compare to Army: 10-2. /// W: Cornell (8), Loyola (24), UMass (25) /// L: Lehigh (26), Rutgers(5)

(numbers in parens are RPI)

Depends on how you value / consider winning percentage and # of losses absolutely.

Does Jacksonville get in if they lose the SoCon?

No one knows. Sowing FUD is the committee's only reason for existence.

Man it’s close. They don’t have many big wins but they have a few good ones and are clearly a top tier team. If they don’t win the Socon they probably need other conferences to go chalk to get in.

Thanks. Pretty amazing that a win over Q drops UVA 3 spots in RPI. I can't wait until the Ivy tournament boosts all of the teams RPI. I wonder if it is possible for UVA to fall out of the RPI top 10 while winning out vs. Syracuse and Lafayette?
