On the death of an acknowledged and widely-beloved civil rights legend...let's talk about who attend his inauguration?

https://twitter.com/NumbersMuncher/stat ... 4150069259

"Swan: Do you find John Lewis impressive?

Trump: I can't say one way or the other... but, no, he didn't come to my inauguration. He didn't come to my SOTU speeches, and that's ok... And again, nobody has done more for Black Americans than I have."

Remember: MAGA "loves the blacks." Vote for this guy? Because Larry is a decent Governor? W.T.F.?

o d: “I read a lot. I read a lot. They like to say I don’t read. I read a lot. I comprehend extraordinarily well. Probably better than anybody that you’ve interviewed in a long time. I read a lot. I spend a lot of time with – at meetings.”

If you read that quote, you’ve read more than o d has this summer...

The paper shuffling part of the Axios interview reminds me of the “these go to 11” scene in Spinal Tap (Trump=Nigel Tufnel; Swan=Marty DiBergi).

Any of you great Americans supporting Trump care to comment on the GOP's strange and maybe fraudulent efforts to get Kanye on the ballot in Wisconsin and New Jersey?

https://twitter.com/MattFriedmanNJ/stat ... 9587083264

https://twitter.com/mattsmith_news/stat ... 7627631617

And the President's lawsuit trying to prevent voting in Nevada?

https://thenevadaindependent.com/articl ... l-election

The GOP cannot win an election in which people are free to vote. Sounds, well, un-American.

Any of you great Americans supporting Trump think it's a good idea to just say stuff about an international incident without having any idea of what your're talking about?

It's un-American to allow this moron any more rope with our lives.

Wait, The GOP is putting Kanye on the ticket? I didn’t see that in those posts. I saw a few tds posters say that in comments, but is it proven? There are a lot of accusations thrown around these days. Have another link?

Yes, the GOP is helping:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... ess-effort

"A handful of people once active in Republican circles are involved in efforts to get rapper Kanye West on the 2020 presidential ballot.

A company called Let the Voters Decide has been collecting signatures for West's campaign in three states, the New York Times reported Tuesday, identifying GOP operative Mark Jacoby as an executive at the company.

Jacoby was arrested on voter fraud charges in 2008 while he was working for the California Republican Party. He has described his company as one that works for all political parties and said he couldn't comment on any current clients of the business when asked about West.

Gregg Keller, former executive director of the American Conservative Union, is also listed as a contact for West's campaign in Arkansas. Keller was under consideration to be President Trump's campaign manager in 2015 and did not comment on whether he is involved with West's campaign.

Chuck Wilton, a convention delegate for Trump, is also linked to the West campaign. Wilton and his wife are supporters of the president, and when asked about their ties to West, his wife apparently hung up on a New York Times reporter.

Vice News also reported Tuesday that Lane Ruhland, a GOP election lawyer and a former legal counsel for the state Republican Party, dropped off signatures for West to appear on the ballot in Wisconsin earlier in the day.

“I’m going to leave any comment about the petitions, the papers, and what’s going on to the campaign itself,” she told the outlet when asked if she was working for the rapper's campaign. “I appreciate your reaching out, but I’ll let them comment.”

At this point there are a lot of people who have jumped from the Trump ship, but you never know. And in fairness, Trump infiltrated the Republican Party as a former dem too. I hate the 2 party system. I haven’t voted for a party sponsored dem or Republican in 8 years. I’m great with as many choices on the ballot as possible. Even Kanye. Now if only we can get that Kasich Hickenlooper ticket up and running...

The Wisconsin lawyer you saw bringing the Kanye petition into the the Wisconsin Board of Elections represented Trump in a case just last week, and signed the pleading as an "attorney() for the Plaintiff Donald J. Trump."

https://twitter.com/Bencjacobs/status/1 ... 73/photo/1

So, some follow-up:

When does this get suspicious?

When does it appear that the GOP is using a mentally ill black man as a tool to siphon votes away from an opponent?

And if it gets there -- and you see, I think it has already -- do you folks think this is OK?

FTR Cosmo, I'd likely vote for a Kasich-Hick ticket. But now the binary choice is easy for any person who values the basic principles on which the country was founded and, heretofore anyway, operated.
