13-12, 26 seconds left,
Dutch with the big edge at faceoff,

so, hold on to your jock strap.

I believe that that win guarantees a spot in the playoffs for the Hens. The CAA is insane. A very good team is not going to get in.

I can breathe easy for a couple days. Towson is going to be a battle down in Baltimore.

I will just keep saying it the CAA Is just awesome. Not only is the lacrosse great, but the intensity and effort is 2 Nd to none. This conference deserves the respect of all D 1. I had 5 kids play college lax, and none have close to this week after week of all out competition. I root for Towson, but respect all. 2 bid league, take note.

Just a note,

a wild, wild game,
but note that the Dutch scored 3 goals in 40 seconds
to tie the game at the end of regulation.

Inside Lacrosse write up on the games,
Kurtz, Kitchen Pace Delaware Past Hofstra in OT;
Towson Win Over UMass in CAA Quagmire

Nine points from Charlie Kitchen and an overtime winner from Tye Kurtz helped Delaware stay atop the CAA standings with a 15-14 comeback win at Hofstra on Saturday.

Down three goals entering the fourth quarter, the
No. 16 Blue Hens (7-2) scored seven consecutive times
to take a commanding three-goal lead with eight minutes remaining. Delaware took their foot off the gas and let
the Pride back into it as Hofstra scored three in the final
49 seconds to force OT.

Towson upends UMass, wins third straight
The Tigers are playing with momentum.

Shane Brennan made 13 saves, leading Towson (6-6,
3-3 CAA) to its third win in a week. The Tigers beat
UMass, 9-6. Towson has made a late-season push,
beating Fairfield, UMass and Hofstra starting last Saturday.

Crazy, insane games, of course.

In the Hens-Dutch game, Kitchen bulled through 4
defenders at the end and should have scored, it was
actually his best move all game, to lock up the game
but somehow the ball didn’t go in, I’ll go with a great
save from Casey though the ball may have gone off the
crossbar. Pride promptly improbably tied the game with
three goals in about 40 seconds, only to lose the OT
faceoff on of all things as Herber was killing it, a violation, sheesh !

Tigers, get killed at face off, yet win. No goals in the
second half, but get the W, go figure, hold UMass to
6 goals, sheesh !

For the Dragoons, the only thing that game meant was
the team avoided a 7th straight losing season, and they
get the consolation of facing off against the likely
completely PO’d, should have won that game, Dutch next.
Consoli kept Fairfield in the game for much of that game.

I wonder if Fairfield is going to play it’s top guys the next couple weeks? If not, that is a huge benefit to Hofstra and UMass, as it was to Drexel yesterday.

Total clown show on defense and no Taylor Strough. They couldn’t beat Wagner with the squad they put out yesterday.

you can talk about the grit and determination of various conferences and how competitive they are , you can draw up all the x''and o's you want , you have to have athletes that can create separation and smother the opposing offense - my final 4 md , nd , duke nc
