Anyone know when Amherst will post their schedule? Williams and Midd look like tough schedules. And Bowdoin seems to have boosted their out of conference games. But why does Bowdoin only play 14 games and not 15 like everyone else and they did last year? Wesleyan seems to have only a fair out of conference schedule.

Bowdoin 23’ OOC was WNE, Babson, Endicott, Naz, Emerson. For 24’ it’s WNE, Babson, Endicott, MIT. They should consider trying a bigger boost.

It would be nice but would really need to be part of an overnight trip. Which certainly could be done, don’t get me wrong. But as far as regular driving away game, those 4 really are about as good as they could do, pretty much the 4 best non-NESCAC teams within a reasonable trip from Bowdoin. Would love to see them in Mustang, at least 4 NESCAC teams I can think have have gone, not sure if Bowdoin has ever been invited. Outside of such trips though, this is the best they can do. Someone like Union, who is comparatively close, is still a 6 hour drive

One NESCAC team is invited to the Mustang Classic, the other benefits because they have to accommodate the league schedule.
It looks like there is no Spring Trip - which may be the reason for only 14 games.
They'd be smart to take an SLU approach, and play a neutral site game somewhere they can attract a lot of alums (IE. Fairfield County-area)

Interesting that both Midd and Bowdoin recently appear to be using the spring trip as a recruiting/exposure tool:

2023 - Bowdoin v WNE and Nazareth in Tampa, FL
2023 - Midd v Union in Austin, TX
2024 - Midd v Union at (reportedly) Homewood Field

Surprised the Bowdoin has not announced a trip in 2024, but these ventures are expensive for both schools playing in each game and (AFAIK) funded exclusively by alumni donations.

Just looking at some of the top 20 teams and how many other top 20 opponents they will have
NESCAC has 7 teams in the top 20, so those schools will have a tough schedule.

Tufts and Middlebury 9 games vs top 20 teams
CNU, York, and RPI play 7
RIT, Bowdoin, Getty, and St Law all play 6.

Salisbury only playing 4 top 20 teams and Dickinson only playing 3

Not sure which ranking you are using to tally them up, but here are Union, Amherst, Stevens and Williams schedules. Williams schedule is brutal, Union and Amherst also very, very tough

I used the Massey ratings.

With this new info, Williams seems to have the toughest schedule in the country. Playing 10 of the 15 games on their schedule against top 20 teams.

13 of those games vs teams in the top 28 in the country.

Amherst with 8 and Union with 7
