Tess Calabria- highly touted prospect. Elite stick skills. I see this as a UNC/BC battle.

Ryann Frechette- was tearing up the florida circuits as a freshman before a season ending injury. Good chances she stays in florida or heads to an ACC school

Charlee Nyquist- Has a lethal BTB. UNC

Madison Rassas- Do it all Midfield general. Maryland

Kira Balis- draw specialist. Maryland

Ella Berg- speed. Northwestern

2024 isn't as strong as 2023 or 2022. 2025 however looks very strong with the Spallina girl headlining
Spallina girl....does she go to Cuse like the whole family did/will?
or does she stay at SB since her dad touts that high profile kids dont need to leave Long Island to play competitively. SHould be interesting...
She's pretty much a cuse lock from everything i've seen. If not cuse then Stony brook. don't really see her going anywhere else
The reason Im wondering is that he has showed his disdain when LI recruits leave the Island to go to other colleges....and has been quoted many times You know....disparagingly....for those that leave - so it will be curious if she does leave - how he spins it.
I don't have any personal knowledge, but I'd hope he'd respect his own daughter enough to put on the "dad" hat & let her make her own decision while being there as a supporting figure. After spending his career recruiting, I'm sure he has come across all kinds of parent-athlete dynamics. It's been mentioned that the family is close, so I don't think NY schools are off the table, but again, I don't know Alexa personally. I have a lot of respect for Joe, but if he were to publicly comment on his daughter's college commitment with anything other than unwavering support (which I highly doubt he would do), I'd lose all of it on the spot.

Also, not all parents can or want to coach their own kids in college. Yes, Joe is her YJ coach, but that's very different than a top 10 D1 program.
he wont comment negatively.....about her.

I guess I wasn't quite sure what you meant when you said "how he spins it", but now I see.

I don't think he should be making the comments about anyone else either. The "I don't see any reason to ever leave Long Island" concept seems just a bit narrow-minded to me.

I find it very strange - not sure why it bothers me, but I really can't believe people are posting about where 2024's will be going to college along with a 2025. Just does not sit right.

Agree on the 2025, but we're only 7 days away from 9/1 for the 2024s.

Should we really have posters guessing and prognosticating where these kids will end up? Post something when they commit. Don’t just throw stuff out there.

M&D Lacrosse Club is at UNC Chapel Hill.
· Chapel Hill, NC ·
Congratulations to midfielder Kate Levy, M&D 2024 Black (McDonogh School), on her commitment to the University of North Carolina @uncwlax !

Browsing the elite clubs facebook pages today and saw this on M&D's. I guess no surprise here!

still waiting for Penn State to become relevant. They have waisted some stellar recruiting classes and i don't see them getting back to anywhere close to that again

Good List. Calabria is a little low from where i would've had her but all solid players. Not too familiar with Osburn but she looks like a real player. Cuse have done well. Interesting that they totally skipped the 2023 class..maybe due to being unable to watch all the players during covid. All they've confirmed was that Humphrey is 1. maybe they'll release them later

I really wonder why players/families don’t do more to try and understand the current culture in a program at a school in which they are interested. Lax is a small community. When there is a toxic culture, the word is usually out on the street. You really have to want a school to sign up for a program with known troubles.

This is a very cryptic message. Which programs/schools are you referring to, if you don't mind me asking?

None specifically but every program has a culture especially those with long-standing HCs. These intangibles are usually known in the community. They are not determinants ..: but IMHO (based on experience) they tend to be accurate and therefor a valid consideration. And let me say say this, if you think you are the one player who can singularly be the change you want to see in a program, good luck.

My point is, ask around so you have a better chance of understanding what you are signing up for.

11 days into september and committments are rolling in hot daily. Cuse with a very strong 2024 class so far. KT effect with over 6 committs, landing some elite talent they've missed out on in recent years. MD has yet to have one. Plenty of time left but a little weird and not typical of MD to be this late to the game. Expect UNC with a championship bump to be in poll position for the remaining top talent and BC not far behind. MD is having to battle harder than ever before for the girls they used to get rolling outta bed. Virginia has done well so far this year and the last few years. However, they are stuck in the meh zone like a few other programs, getting good talent to compete but not elite enough talent to contend.

Already hearing some accusations of homerism from parents based on IL's recent 2024 rankings. Cometti, who heads scouting for IL is a proud Cuse alumn. I don't think this is true btw, as the Griggs who preceded her was also a cuse alumn but was never biased. I believe Griggs is still part of the scouting as she now coaches in the Northeast per the ILwomen podcast where she still pops up.

UMD has the number 1 classes for 2022 and 2023. With Covid holdovers and always picking the best transfers they are set up for a few championships and practically impossible to break into playing time.

MD actually picked up 2 commits from defenders over the weekend. One in 23 and another in 24.

I think that’s part of the problem. People don’t know and don’t always know who to ask. There’s a lot of secrecy during the progress.
