Way back on LP I said this guy is a snake. Anyone who doesn't see that now is mentally challenged.
It's no wonder corruption occurred under his watch at FBI.
Fascinating.
I watched the interview and thought it was an excellent interview, both by Wallace and by Comey.
Wallace is a straight reporter, and a tough interviewer, regardless of who the subject is.
He leans right, but not to the detriment of his common sense and integrity.
So, he asked the tough questions, including the tough follow-ups.
I found Comey to again be honest, willing to be accountable for his own errors, most notably his having been "over confident" in the practices and policies of the FISA process. He said, without hesitation, "I was wrong", he didn't claim the IG was wrong.
I found his differences with Wallace's characterizations interesting, but not troubling, as I understood both men's assertions on how one could see the same sets of words and facts and understand them differently, honestly. Moreover, I wasn't so sure Wallace didn't understand Comey's perspective and simply wanted to push him hard to see what that might reveal. But Comey remained consistent...which indeed included holding himself accountable.
So, an excellent, hard-nosed interview.
IMO, Comey has a big ego, and he has a sense of honor and duty, and a sense of pride in the FBI, which he overly assumes others have around him as well.
Now...if one truly thinks the FBI is full of corrupt, politically biased folks who purposely were out to sabotage Trump through false means, it's understandable why one would find Comey's position unsatisfactory.
Of course, one may also believe Trump's tweet that the IG was an Obama supporter and is lying and "Obama knew everything"...
