Mandalorian love the first post!!

That 2014 Robinson team was interesting- started 1-3 including 3-1 loss to Woodson and 18-1 loss to Landon (only goal deflected in off Austin Henry’s head) then ran off 18 straight to win states. However I think 2015 Rams may have been better team. The double OT state championship win over an amazing Chantilly was probably the most intense sporting event I’ve ever been to

Probably the best collection of talent that I ever saw in a VHSL state lacrosse final was the 2014 5A final between Albemarle and Loudoun County. Between the two teams, there were 14 players who made all-state in either 2014 or 2015. Five of those players went on to become All-Americans in college, and one of them is now in the MLL.

Tactful - I was at that 2014 5A final and that Albemarle attackman that went to CNU (Crist? maybe) took that game over. He was unstoppable in the 4th quarter and OT. Still not sure how LC lost that game with all those great players - Rexrode, Rogers, Lison, Dewey,,,Albemarle just hung around and then that attackman took over.

Lax89 - that regional semifinal with Yorktown was almost as intense as the Chantilly game. Yorktown must have had the ball for 11 of the 12 minutes in the 4th quarter. Great battle between Pollack and Buchholtz. Kondracki earned his ring that night. I think the Patriots problem was Turner got too many minutes that game ( :D :D he played with my son at Mary Wash; great kid).

Matt Crist graduated from CNU first in career points/goals/assists.

Madison should be top 2. You could make a case for top spot.

Many of these teams will be playing this Sunday at the Oakton Turkey Shootout. Should be a nice preseason set of games. Let’s hope the weather cooperates.

How'd the TSO go last week? I heard Robinson won. I would have thought it would be Riverside or Madison who took it home.

I think you could also flip Yorktown and SC? Or not. Still early to tell but Yorktown may be better than 10 SC may not be top 5. Briar Woods at 11 may be true later in the season but until they demonstrate it on the field they are still top 10.

Battlefield over Champe in the Fierce Nation league finals is a bit of a surprise. WS won the open. It is only winter league but Battlefield may be a contender, Champe is the best Loudoun school in 6A and South County is not top 5. Scrimmages start soon and this could all change. I think these two teams could be top 5.5 schools in 6A.

Uhh...isn’t Champe the only Loudoun School in 6a?

Your point? This way I am sure I will at least make one correct prediction on the season. I think Riverside, Dominion, BW, Champe, Freedom, Stonebridge or maybe Broad Run will emerge as the strongest team in Loudoun this year.

Let’s not make too much about Fierce Nation. Last weekend many boys missed as they were taking the ACTs, and some teams were missing many of the top players during the short season due to recruiting events. At full strength, Robo blows out Battlefield.
