Teams with indoor turf facilities

Post by laxpert »

Schedules for the 2020 season are starting to be posted and I see scrimmages slated as early as mid January. Outside of the BCS football schools who has an indoor practice field? If you add a facility please note if it's full field or just big enough for 6v6. A field house with a multi sport surface wouldn't qualify. BCS schools would be Army, Navy, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Rutgers,Maryland? , Syracuse, Duke, UNC, ND, UVA.

Delaware has a 80 or 90 yard indoor turf practice facility. It only get used on the coldest days.

Quakes bubble a full size turf field in Penn Park for a defacto indoor heated/lighted facility for winter months. I think the turf surface of Harvard Stadium can be bubbled as well.

Harvard and Princeton (recently) have stadium bubbles.

Loyola has a full indoor practice field and facility.
But I do not believe it is approved for NCAA game use.

Cuse, complaining about something , as usual, state they don't get to use, for practice, the full field in the Carrier dome. That's why they have trouble clearing, early season.

The Bears have a multi-purpose indoor facility but prefer the grit developed from experiencing all weather conditions.

Facility is large, has a track but is not a full field or turfed.

University of Utah Lax uses the football teams field house for practices (also played a game scrimmage there last year) during inclement weather. It is a regulation size football field with a 60 foot ceiling.

Hofstra has a bubble that the NY Jets used to use before they moved to NJ.
