It’s just hypocritical that during his presidency, he pushed the global warming hoax. And now owns a huge piece of property on the ocean. Obama also gained tens of millions of dollars from being President. Trump has lost $1 billion in net worth while being President. Democrats are silent here. Not surprising. Democrats are liars and hypocrites

Climate change is not a hoax.

Property he both can afford, and one that will not be an issue for him during his lifetime. Hard to see why he should not enjoy his retirement.

BTW, tens of millions of dollars were basically earned from publishing an autobiography. Quite legitimate, and aboveboard as well. You don't think Trump will do the same when he leaves office?

And BTW, no one actually knows Trump's net worth, because he goes to heroic lengths to hide it (probably because his fortune has always been well under a billion dollars. He has been known in the past to randomly (and sometimes strategically) throw out wild net worth numbers that have no connection to obvious assets. And there is no clear handle on what debt he still has.

Actually, it was published yesterday that Trump's organization gained a quarter million dollars in the first three months of his presidency just through expenditures by the Secret Service for the huge number of times the president went to one of his residential properties (like Mar-a-Lago) or went golfing. No idea where you get your wild numbers except for something that Trump might have said at one of his rallies. And he lies so much it is really impossible to tell what he really knows...

Trumps net worth went down by a billion dollars since entering the office. Obama gained millions. Look at you come defend Obama after he campaigned vigorously stating that sea levels will rise. Yet he goes and buys land on the water. If he actually believed what he said, why did he buy land on the water? He’s a liar and hypocrite. Yet you can’t seem to grasp the hypocrisy of it all. I like how you argue with me - you just keep saying the crap you said before as if we did not hear you.

Thousands of scientists disagree with your statement about the climate. The fact that I don't fall for your conspiracy theory about the redistribution of wealth is not a commentary on _my_ comprehension.

Again, _nobody_ knows Trump's actual net worth. It is only a guess.

At least I know how Obama got his money. How much of Trump's is just leftover from his inheritance? How much from money laundering? How much is his actual debt? (Trump organization actually owns a Chicago company whose only asset is a loan from Trump or another of his companies - to the tune of 50+ million dollars - is it a tax dodge?)

His land on the water is quite far from the edge, and at a substantial elevation. Probably good for quite some time...

Now New Orleans? Some of it is below sea level...

If it is embarrassing for me - why do I absolutely not feel that way?

Interesting article.
Interesting. Something really strange is going on based on the 140 degree opening angle measurement for the lepton pair decay. I am somewhat skeptical of the hypothesis that there is a new boson with a mass of 17 Mev. We have had the technology to produce bosons of this mass since the early 70s when I was in graduate school (~50 years ago). A boson of that mass should have been seen before now. A 17 Mev boson would mediate a "new" significantly stronger force than the weak nuclear force (the 4th force discovered). The strength of this force is much closer to the strong nuclear force than the weak nuclear force. This is all a fairly low energy phenomenon. Missing something like this at these energies would be amazing. But not impossible.

OH Boy......NPR had some Steyer solar panel sales rep on this AM......selling the "new" UN report.

NPR interviewer asked some decent questions: "What will the world look like in 40 or 80 years ?", she asked. The Tom Steyer solar salesmans first reply was " That is completely dependent upon us....our actions " Please

Further, the solar sales man, (Bloomberg has NO renewables on the horse farm in NY state, nor does BillGates. Phonies ) went on to say the UN report has SOLUTIONS to the problem in the second half of the "report"

https://news.un.org/en/news/topic/climate-change

all this "bad" news. Especially the 3 degree "spike" that no one has explained why it would end humans. Oh my, a river flooded.

At this point, anyone who refuses to acknowledge the reality and danger of human-caused climate change is a complete and absolute ignorant moron ... and a threat to all of us, especially our children.

The world has squandered so much time mustering the action necessary to combat climate change that rapid, unprecedented cuts in greenhouse gas emissions offer the only hope of averting an ever-intensifying cascade of consequences, according to new findings from the United Nations.
Already, the past year has brought devastating hurricanes, relentless wildfires and crippling heat waves, prompting millions of protesters to take to the streets to demand more attention to a problem that seems increasingly urgent.
Amid that growing pressure to act, Tuesday’s U.N. report offers a grim assessment of how off-track the world remains. Global temperatures are on pace to rise as much as 3.9 degrees Celsius (7 degrees Fahrenheit) by the end of the century, according to the United Nations’ annual “emissions gap” report, which assesses the difference between the world’s current path and the changes needed to meet the goals of the 2015 Paris climate accord.
