AS my dad would tell me when I was younger. "boy do you talk just to hear your head rattle"...he would also say "use your head for something besides a hat rack". Let's ride this high (even if it is a sugar high) as long as we can, life is good(er) than in the recent past. People are working, I was talking to a Union Suit and Tie the other day and he said the layoff bench is dang near empty for the 1st time in a very long time. the 1%ers are spending money on their infrastructure and expanding....thus proving those 1%ers help everyone out. If you cannot see it, then you are unwilling to admit it.

It's just another troll term DJT supporters and the alt-right and guys who can't get laid use - designed to elicit a response.

Here are Some interesting looks at more terms. They basically elected a dank meme as president.

If he's not "serious", and is just play acting as the grossest of caricatures of right-wing nut job for chuckles, then he's the most persistent "joker" I've ever seen.
Nah, he's deadly serious. Kinda serious you would like to be sure he doesn't have access to bump stocks or fertilizer, but no one bothers to check the basement.

I liked your first couple of sentences, phrases from a wise dad.

But then you decided to ignore him.

If it's just a "sugar high" the come down will likely be severe, but probably survivable.

If a heroin high, mixed with some fentanyl, maybe not.

Gotta ask yourself, at what price/risk do you want/need that sort of "high"?

I say 'go get some exercise' if you want a 'high'.

I had never paid much attention to Mike Cernovich. Knew who he was, but wrote him off as just another troll. The article is pretty good in showing who he is. He is just another troll (though he claims he isn't).

Lives in Orange County, California. Anti Muslim online persona who's second wife is Iranian Muslim. First wife divorced him. Cernovich claims it was because of feminist indoctrination. He has an inferiority complex a couple miles wide (probably left over from early interactions with girls and growing up in a corn field in the midwest). He developed his "alpha male" fake persona after his first wife divorced him. Cut his online persona "teeth" as part of the GamerGate attack on women in the computer gaming industry. Other than that he is a pretty smart guy who seems a bit of a slacker, who considers Trump a kindred spirit.

Right, we can get all tangled up in the overlap of gov't dollars and various commercial entities, ala where Fatty wants to take this. Yes, there's all sorts of overlap, and to some extent at least "control". But they do, for the most part, actually "compete" for gov't spending. Again, all sorts of debate about how rigged the system is...but it's a different topic.

A fan's examples are simple, straightforward examples where the government actually does own the organization, in every sense.
the uniforms have been changing in front of everyone, and no one even noticed. The DNC and GOP are all on the same team - Team Globalism, aka Team Corporate Profits, aka Team Scw$% the 90%'ers. All the rest is noise to distract the voters and keep them from doing something about it.

It is almost too perfect to not be happening in a star chamber somewhere:

elitist bureaucrat: "I regret to inform the committee that it looks like the natives are starting to figure out they are getting hosed"

star chamber member 1: "we must pacify them"

star chamber member 2: "let's throw them a Bernie"

sc member 3: "no he will actually try to oust us, we need a distraction"

sc member 1: "let's give them a Trump"

sc member 2: "that is perfect, he's one of us, but we will let him be crude and politically incorrect. they will all think they've pulled one over on us"

elitist bureaucrat: "but what about Europe? Europe, those dopes have even begun to realize they're getting squeezed."

sc member 3: "let them vote on brexit or something, that should hold them for a while"

sc member 2: "great idea, it's not like we'll ever really have to do it...."

......
tinfoilhat.gif
so they ARE the same... except the democrats are slightly less-worse because when they misbehave, their colleagues object quicker.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

Being completely serious here, why the hypocritical viewpoints about saving peoples lives. It is very clear that our globalists don't dig, and never have, the population booms effecting our planet. Less people. less need to heat homes, power transportation and devices. Less food to produce. Smoking pot does NOT cause cancer. bs1 and vaping is fine for your lungs. asbestos was too.

Less people, less co2. gotta go, Al's picking me up at Hanscom and heading to BALI to sleep in air conditioned shacks after "massages"

I didn't start a thread but our boy dislaxxic did, "Home Honey, I'm High" where I did note legalization day in Canada.
I don't get the connection you're trying to make here. Inhaling smoke into your lungs is not good for you, there's argument there. To compare cigarette smoking to pot smoking is a real stretch though, IMO. Most pot smokers aren't inhaling nearly as much smoke (not even in the same ballpark) in a day/month/year as cigarette smokers are, so although I recognize its harmful effects, I really don't see it as a major concern. There's also a simple solution...edibles, drinks, etc. You don't have to smoke pot to enjoy its properties, and there's definitely a shift in how people are consuming it.

DMac, you do get it, you hit the nail right on the head. Our Guvs sue the tobacco makers because inhaling tobacco smoke is costing huge bucks for medical care. Now they are encouraging people to inhale marijuana fumes into their lungs, which will eventually cause huge bucks for medical care. Sure you can eat it, but once it is legal I bet there will be plenty of inhalers.
Breathing In the Smoke
Marijuana smoke is also filled with many of the same chemicals as tobacco smoke, including ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, and formaldehyde. Some of these chemicals are known to cause cancer. Most users smoke pot in a joint or water pipe, so they breathe the smoke straight into their lungs.
There's no proof that smoking marijuana causes lung cancer like cigarettes do. But people who smoke pot do show signs of damage and precancerous changes in their lungs, especially if they also smoke cigarettes. And a study published in 2013 in Cancer Causes & Control found that heavy marijuana smoking might raise the risk of lung cancer.
Pot smoking leads to other lung effects, too. "We know that patients see their doctor with more symptoms, including cough and wheezing, when they're marijuana smokers," Tetrault says.

Yup, all of the choices of poisons come with risks and I'd bet alcohol comes with higher risks than marijuana but we're (collectively) willing to accept those risks. Pot's really no different. I actually think as time goes on fewer and fewer people will be smoking pot. The edibles are becoming a bigger and bigger part of sales and the THC oils being vaped (not smoking any leaves/buds) are even bigger. People are switching to the oils in big numbers, no fire needed, no odor, much more convenient. Smoking pot will be real old school in the not too distant future.
