The shade Barr throws Trump's way is, IMO, a "thing of enormous value".old salt wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:46 pmDoJ OLC found that election law did not apply -- ...finding that Trump had not asked for a “thing of value.”MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:28 pmoopsTrinity wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:27 pm https://www.motherjones.com/politics/20 ... epartment/

Trump was willing to pay something like $400 million for the “thing,” i.e., the dirt, but I guess to a really rich guy like Trump, $400 million is not “of value.”old salt wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:46 pmDoJ OLC found that election law did not apply -- ...finding that Trump had not asked for a “thing of value.”MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:28 pmoopsTrinity wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:27 pm https://www.motherjones.com/politics/20 ... epartment/

Re: BARR
Didn't ask for a thing of value is the argument of a child. Right up there with "Depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is."
And "is this water wet? I dunno. Define "wet".
How much longer do we have to play along with this game of acting like concrete things are in complete question? Just for Trump's tenure? Or just anytime a Republican gets caught doing something wrong?
And no, none of this is directed at you, old salt.
Re: BARR
So Barr actually made a trip to Italy where officials there shot down the idea that they had some sort of role in the cuckoo Deep State theory about the origin of the Russ ia probe. He also asked that Italian intelligence sources explain actions of US intelligence. Meaning that he does not believe what our intel people are telling him.
