Shep Smith just announced he is leaving Faux News. Wonder why?
Now, now, you just differentiated between Fox News and Faux News.
But Shep's departure will be another big loss to the credibility of the News division.
It's a shame.
I wonder whether they pushed him out or they were demanding that he say things he knew were not true?
If it were really Fox News, would he be leaving?
I suspect this event will have some impact in the world of right wing news. People who are interested in truth will notice. I don't think this is good news for Trump or Fox News. Pretty strong argument against those arguing the right is where they gladly listen to opinions / news they don't agree with.
The writing has been on the wall for along time about Shep's displeasure with Trump and of his former network. The fact that this comes as such a surprise to the FLP base on this forum is more puzzling to me. You folks always seem to be acutely attuned to everything that happens at Fox. If you all had been paying any attention Shep has been riding trump hard for months. Stop watching Hannity and look at the big picture. I was going to insert a sarcastic comment but out of respect to the sensitive feelings of a certain person... I held back.
I wonder why you think we're all knuckleheads on here, cradle, have no clue who Shep Smith is, where he's been on Trump for many months. Why do you think we're clueless about Fox?
He's been one of a very small # of straight journalists on Fox calling out Trump's most egregious lies and dishonor. That's earned him Trump's ire and that of Trump's biggest toadies on his own, now former network. Undoubtedly many death threats.
I think what we are seeing with Shep's departure is the Trump effect at Fox, just as it has totally cowed the GOP.
I don't see this ending until Trumpism is thoroughly repudiated, whether at the polls or through removal for 'high crimes and misdemeanors'.
Barr meeting with Rupert Murdoch...
