I looked through that document and couldn't find a SPECIFIC reference that cites a FULL HOUSE VOTE reference. I am certainly NOT erudite or experienced in the rules of the House. So any help you can give a dumbass like me would be greatly appreciated.

As for the individual you described, he is certainly a character and I would not presume to psychoanalyze him - I know him only through his postings. There are multiple possible explanations. He however is not my concern - I am reasonably certain he didn't run off and vote for Orange Duce in a snit.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 11:37 amI may be more on your side on all of this back and forth but don’t get it twisted, there’s plenty of insecurity and jealousy from the effete intellectual class as well. I’m the operating partner of an 1100-person aviation company. We are growing fast. We carry zero debt outside weekly trade and accrued expenses. Maybe 5% of our firm has a college degree. Most of our employees have home cooked meals for lunch. I’m not aware of anyone who has a graduate degree. I don’t! I’d say somewhere near 75% of our employee base is what you’d call ‘blue collar’, though given their immense technical skills not to mention work ethic, I look at those who look down upon our people as blue collar, if it’s a pejorative term. We spend inordinate amounts of money investing in our people. Easily 50% carry guns in their pickups. 20% are first generation American.
The only issue of any note we had to deal with in the last year came from one of our college graduates, who’s no longer with us. He objected to HR that some of the employees were wearing those red MAGA hats. I voted for Obama and skipped the last one. The ‘MAGA hat’ decision came down to me and I sided with the employees, who cheered at each location (from what I was told) when HR announced we are a free speech company and you can wear any hat you want provided it’s not vulgar, sexist, etc.
I’d bet 75% of those ‘blue collar’ employees are Trump voters. Every time you denigrate them, as is done here daily by supposed elite educated posters, you lock up one more vote for Trump. Argue with his policies, but when you gratuitously slap his voters, you’re going to be very unhappy come 2021.
If you wish to felate them, knock yourself out. I won't! I grew up in a blue collar family and neighborhood, I more than understand these people and what makes them tic. They are great people, loving, caring, plenty of smarts, but generally insecure and jealous, telling themselves they don't get a fair shake and a general unwillingness (as a class) to get the education, take advantage of the educational opportunities available to them, that would change their situation. Sorry, not my fault. Their favorite story is how the "dumb beans" college graduate engineer misconnected the "check valve" to the waterpump and how they personally saved the day.
By the way, there are many individuals on this forum who have resumes that are as if not more impressive than yours.
Where I get annoyed is the lack of empathy that seems to be more on display from the other side. We’re all short on empathy but it really jumps out often from the class of faux intellectuals I’ve seen a lot of in DC and NYC in my time there. I’m general people suck but it takes two sides (Hegels dialectic) and the Clerics are as guilty of power and resource control as the barbarians.
But....please don’t make me fall or appear to fall on the side of PB anymore. Please.

Trump was asked by a reporter earlier on Friday if he'd ever asked "foreign leaders for any corruption investigations that don't involve your political opponents."
"You know, we would have to look," Trump answered.

I think it comes from "Rules of Impeachment" that Congress drew up under the powers granted.

Oh I see it quite often visiting family in WNY or the York, pa area, not to mention many years of visiting community banks HQd in all sorts of small towns (Timberville VA, Fitzgerald ga, York sc, Salisbury md, Kosciusko Ms, thomsaville AL, oil city PA, Jackson NJ, Waterbury ct, Newton NC, Chicopee Ma, and on and on), but at least I can see the frustration and anger that’s metastasized in those places, I don’t get why the other side is so condescending in thriving urban environments like I mentioned, or the Bay Area where my sister has been for roughly 30yrs, coming from supposedly highly educated and “enlightened” people.a fan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 1:28 pmI take it you've never caught Fox, Hannity, or Rush. That’s not a justification of the maga crowd but seems to be a bit of an indictment of the other side.
Only time I watch any of those news channels, or CNN/MSNBC, etc is in My cartoon President on showtime which is just off the hook funny and crushes both sides nicely. One of my favorites might’ve been when hannity refers to Anne Coulter as “slendermans wife”....p

The condescension from the actual libs I know comes from the fact, not opinion, but fact....that Trump's policies are hurting, not helping, the bottom 75% earners in America. And they're frustrated that these TrumpFans don't understand that, and think that "sticking it to the libs" is the same thing as governing.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 1:37 pm ......but at least I can see the frustration and anger that’s metastasized in those places, I don’t get why the other side is so condescending in thriving urban environments like I mentioned, or the Bay Area where my sister has been for roughly 30yrs, coming from supposedly highly educated and “enlightened” people.

How's Trumpcare working out, for example?
And unemployment is down because Trump borrowed another $3 Trillion, and pumped it through the economy, and then dropped the bottom out of taxes for the 1%ers. What do we do when we have to pay that money back? Punt on 3rd down?
Now granted, the liberals I know are all economists and/or working directly and indirectly for America's poor, but there you go.

From the Post today, trying to keep everyone inside the (elastic) guardrails of truth:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... tleblower/
"We recently took Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to task for misleading reporters about the fact that he was a participant in the call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that was the subject of a whistleblower complaint and now an impeachment inquiry in Congress. He earned Four Pinocchios for being disingenuous in his remarks to reporters to obscure his firsthand knowledge of what took place.
But politicians spin all across Washington, often to deflect uncomfortable facts. Now let’s look at comments by Schiff, who is heading the impeachment inquiry, as reporters probed about the whistleblower before the details of the allegation were revealed.
Schiff’s answers are especially interesting in the wake of reports in the New York Times and The Washington Post that the whistleblower approached a House Intelligence Committee staff member for guidance before filing a complaint with the Intelligence Community inspector general. The staff member learned the “very bare contours” of the allegation that Trump has abused the powers of his office, The Post said.
When the Fact Checker asked what “bare contours” meant, a committee spokesman pointed to an exchange of letters. In a Sept. 13 letter to the committee, the general counsel of the director of national intelligence said that “complaint involves confidential and potentially privileged communications by persons outside the Intelligence Community.” In his own letter that day, Schiff wrote that because of that language, and because the DNI refused to affirm or deny that White House officials were involved in the decision not to forward the complaint, the committee can conclude only that “the serious misconduct involves the president of the United States and/or other senior White House or administration officials.”
Our suspicion is that the unidentified staff member learned the potential complaint involved “privileged” communication, which is code for something having to do with the president."

As I said, lacking empathy. Which is distinct from just shutting on the other side.
But we’ve all lost our ability to civically disagree these days.
And fact is often a loaded term, especially if you ask deconstructionists, many of whole would be categorized as liberals.
Economists are good at telling a narrative of what has happened but they have almost universally blown at predicting the future. Too much reliance on models as “fact” when they are only supposed to be representative. A consequence of milton Friedman’s seminal piece on economics being a positive rather than normative science unfortunately.

Q Is someone advising you that it is okay to solicit the help of other governments to investigate a potential political opponent?
THE PRESIDENT: No, I don’t say anything is okay. I’ll tell you what’s okay.
Q Is someone advising you that?
THE PRESIDENT: Here’s what’s okay: If we feel there’s corruption, like I feel there was in the 2016 campaign — there was tremendous corruption against me — if we feel there’s corruption, we have a right to go to a foreign country.
And just so you know — just so you know, I was investigated. I was investigated. Okay? Me. Me. In my campaign — I ran, I won. I was invest- — you won’t say that, will you? I was investigated. I was investigated. And they think it could have been by UK. They think it could have been by Australia. They think it could have been by Italy. So when you get down to it, I was investigated by the Obama administration. By the Obama administration I was investigated. So when these people talk —
But as far as I’m concerned, what I want to look at and what we want to investigate: anything having to do with corruption.
