Hey folks, this is a 2020 MIAA "A" Conference lacrosse thread. Can we leave it at that? If you want to talk MIAA football, please start a new thread, otherwise let's leave this to our sport. Thanks for considering.

I dunno, it's fall. Long time before lax season.

It's not as if the football stuff is actually crowding out other discussion, and it's been an ongoing discussion by many on this thread (and previously on LP) about how 'recruiting' of players is impacting various MIAA sports teams, including lacrosse.

Years of ongoing discussion that occupies attention periodically in the off seasons. The SFA topic heated up considerably over the past two years, so this is a bit of aftermath.

Keeps us engaged when there's not much else to discuss.
And the general topic is relevant to how these issues are impacting MIAA lax programs and the schools we are discussing.

But if we're missing something else worthwhile to discuss, by all means post it.

Recap - Did not see Cooper, Reynolds or Sieverts on the field or sidelines. Waldt is reserve goalie for Redwoods behind Troutner. Dunn is one of the best defenders around. Carlson scored a slick goal. Epple is a beast. Harrison played several shifts.

Liam Powderly commits to UVA to play golf.

Powderly could play lacrosse most anywhere he chooses. And he chooses... Golf at UVA. (The UVA is relevant because who knows if he ever decides to be a two sport athlete in college.) It's lacrosse related. As is Herbert playing football.

Agree. Fun to watch. Seems as many teams only send uncommitted players. Great opportunity as a showcase for the uncommitted guys and a pre-tryout for the underclassmen.
