2020 D1 MLAX Schedules

Post by cuseman4133 »

Denver, typically one of the teams to release their schedules early, is the first team to release their 2020 schedule. Same old stuff for them. St. Bonaventure is in, Princeton and Utah are out. https://www.collegecrosse.com/2019/9/12 ... os-tierney

Is it me or are College Schedules getting smaller? I feel like a few years ago everyone played 15 regular season games. Now many are playing 13 and even 12, and don't get me started on fall ball. Teams are playing zero or one game with maybe an alumni game. I think it is terrible and I feel especially bad for the back end of the bench. You used to at least get some reasonable playing time in the fall with 3 to 5 games.

Are coaches really that afraid of injury with 55 man rosters? These kids played 25 plus games a year in high school, and another 25 plus in the summer, and 15 in the fall. What is the point of all this training, lifting, film study to play 13 games?

Schools are allowed only 17 dates of competition by NCAA rule. That includes fall and spring scrimmages. So 2 fall dates, 2 scrimmages in the spring and 13 games is typical. Alumni games are exempt from the 17.
