black clad anarchists protest and create havoc:
among the many troubles they commit, they:
* carry placards and other signs criticizing government
* refuse to disperse when ordered to do so
* they throw rocks and other dangerous objects at cops
* they burn cars and other property
* they linger late into the night
* they disrupt transportation
* they fight with counter protesters
The American right wing applauds their actions and even asserts they have 2d Amendment rights to carry weapons in order to defend themselves against government.
What could possibly motivate the right wingers to suddenly defend Antifa after all this time? Wait, Antifa?
No, no, no! They are Chinese anarchists who are disloyal to their government.
That's correct - that while the delusional right wing attacks Antifa for doing these things, suddenly, those same loonies now feel that all these actions are OK because they are being done by Chinese anarchists who are disloyal to the government of China. Double standards, much???

China and US are well down the path towards not speaking at all. Taiwan is about to go it completely alone.
Good luck to them, is all I have to say.

Your compass has been off since the day Trump took office, my friend. It is what it is, and I just have to let it go.
What I meant was: American used to have a seat at the table when it came to rationally discussing things with China. We have, instead, provoked a Cold War, and are no longer listened to by the Chinese leadership when it comes to things like Taiwan. We are now in an adversarial position with China, is my point.
All China has to do is say "yes" to Trump's last tweet about not needing China...and guess what? Chicken Little was right all along....
Re: All Things China
What did we accomplish with that seat at the table ?
When we stood up, our pants were gone.
Calm down. This is that strategic pivot to Asia that Obama promised,
...but never got around to doing.
Xi's got to hold on to HK before he can think about invading Taiwan.
They're not worried. Biden's their stooge.

Peace. We had trade and peace since the day Nixon set foot over there. You wave your hand at this accomplishment as if this is a given, and is no more valuable than the lint between your toes. You want more Korean wars? I know I don't. Or a real, far more dangerous Second Cold War?
FFS, man----what is going on with you with Trump at the helm?
Re: All Things China
War (Hot or Cold) with China was not inevitable. After we recognized the PRC in '79, we could still control trade & influence their behavior, via annual renewal of MFN & restrictions like Jackson-Vanick. Once we agreed to their WTO entry, we lost the ability to effectively deter them from cheating & stealing. We gave up too much, too fast, without demanding that China reform to the same standards we have to maintain. We've enjoyed 3+ decades of an increasing volume of cheap Chinese goods, but look what we've given up in exchange. Corp profits soared, the working class suffered, the middle class stagnated & shrunk. ...imho, it wasn't worth it. We enabled their ascendancy, at our expense, without demanding that they liberalize & become an ally rather than an adversary. We fell short in helping Russia transition to a responsible global citizen as well, but we didn't enable the transfer of our national wealth to them, like we did with China. Biden says they're good guys. Right. We're seeing it now.a fan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 2:59 pm

Not casting blame, but certainly may have something to do with all this China mess....it's often not what we see in plain sight.
I seriously wonder how the culmination of Hunter Biden's dealings w/China, Dianne Feinsteins Chinese secret agent limo driver and her husbands known ties, the latest HRC China email debacle....that ended much like the Mueller wordings..
"Neither the committees nor the FBI were able to confirm whether an intrusion into the server occurred," Grassley and Johnson said in a news release Wednesday.
Concerns of an intrusion by China into the server were first raised by two officials from the Intelligence Community Inspector General's Office, which helped initiate the original review of Clinton's email practices as secretary of state that was later referred to the FBI, according to the memo. Both officials were interviewed by the Senate investigators as part of their probe.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese Vice Premier Liu He said on Monday that China is willing to resolve its trade dispute with the United States through calm negotiations and resolutely opposes the escalation of the conflict, a state-backed newspaper reported.
Liu, China’s top trade negotiator, was speaking at a tech conference in Chongqing in southwest China, the Chongqing Morning Post reported.
The comments come after U.S. President Donald Trump last week announced an extra 5% duty on some $550 billion of Chinese goods, the latest breast-for-tat move announced hours after China unveiled its retaliatory tariffs on $75 billion worth of U.S. products.

China says they didn’t call Trump in France to negotiate. Futures swung 500 pts on the original statement. Top-down turmoil ensues because the US President is not a credible actor.

They used decades of trade surplus to build their military and reinforce their position on the Pacific rim.
Now we have to face that 10 Trillion build up THAT WE PAID FOR.
And thats was OK with you. And its Trump fault HAH

And is that trade surplus worse or better under Trump?
Will wonders never cease? So now 6t is on board with lefty-AFL-CIO Union protectionist trade practices?
When are you and old salt going to switch parties, and vote for Bernie?? Bernie would like nothing more than to throw up trade barriers that protect the American worker. He and the left wing have been telling you for 50 F-ing years that the American worker is getting screwed by multinational corporations.
And all it took was a guy with a little R by his name to get you to listen.
In just a few short months, a nation of white men have swung far left labor. Unreal. You're going to have to turn in your Reagan Fan Club card over this, 6ft.
Pretty strange to watch lifelong Republicans realize that they were wrong, and that their party has been lying to them about how economics work.
Re: All Things China
BTW, 6ftstick-----remember how I tried, in vain, to explain to you that Obama was center right?
Look how he handled China and NAFTA. Protected shareholder value of multinational corporations at the expense of the worker. In other words, protect the 1%ers at the expense of the American people.
And your Republican party, of course, would STILL do this. Free market outcomes are best, remember?
Hilarious watching you realize that the house the Republican party built is built on buffalo bagels. Gonna vote Bernie? He'll take care of the American worker....or at least he'll do better than other bought and sold Presidents will. No question there.
There will be consequences for this path. Don't forget that part....

Re: All Things China
Serious question about the trade war: what does Trump even want from China?
What are the demands any Chinese government could possibly meet? (The bilateral trade balance isn't a policy variable)
What would "winning" even look like?
