For some delusional righties, Messiah Trump can do no wrong. However, the facts show otherwise. Just now I saw a TV news item where Trump was quoted as saying that Ilhan Omar is a Jew hater and that any Jew who voted for her and for Democrats is "disloyal".

The idiot fails to understand that 79% of Jewish Americans voted for Democrats in the 2018 midterms, according to Pew Research Center. The moron also fails to understand that Omar's district in Minneapolis/Hennepin County is the state's Jewish district where the vast majority of Jews voted for her. Moronic imbecile Trump also fails to understand that Jewish Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is Omar's best friend.

Trump needs to remove his brains from his stink hole and to think before he speaks or writes. And his disciples need to stop defending his endless stupidity. Their efforts are beyond embarrassing.

I tried to explain why this is a silly and embarrassing endeavor elsewhere in this thread, and received OS's clever "TDS" moniker and sash. It is embarrassing because it was never going anywhere, and yet the President uses a nation-state's unwillingness to part with its own terra firma to cancel a prearranged and planned trip to another sovereign and head of state. It's not professional, diplomatic or smart.

My comments above -- before Il Duce decided to slight the Danes, with what appears to be a little tantrum -- suggested that this is not a serious endeavor; that Trump uses this like so many things: to distract from his inability to manage the country and deal with problems, to allow him messaging to his base for reelection purposes and to make room for his Obama fetishism.

I have no idea if the sale of Greenland (and its inhabitants?) is a "prudent" decision for the Danes or Greenlanders. I don't have any access to the due diligence data that would be required to understand the ramifications of this to the Danes, etc. I am not suggesting that Greenland is not located in a strategic area or that its potential mineral and resource wealth would, if acquired by the United States, be a bad thing. I am suggesting that this is an act of gross futility, and a foolish use of what little time this President and this Administration appear to actually devote to governance.

Today on MSNBC's MJ it was reported that the a proposed Greenland purchase was a serious discussion item within the Trump Admin. We don't know if the Greenland story was leaked by the US or the Danes & if it was done to embarrass Trump &/or scuttle the effort before it could be raised as a serious proposal.

The real reason the trip was canceled had nothing to do with Greenland. Rather the cancelation was due to "warm welcome' the Danish people had planned for the COOO. The Danish people made arrangements with the Belgians to borrow their iconic Manneken Pis statue. Guess the Danes felt it was "an appropriate welcoming gesture" for DD-K. Of course, Trump didn't understand the symbolism.Conway.Miller and Mulvaney eventually convinced Trump he should be P.O.ed.

Military interested in some bases, concerned about global warming, private equity might want to look at Greenland for same reasons. All of that makes sense. But that ain't "purchasing Greenland".
