Which Program Will Win The Most National Titles This Upcoming Decade?
Duke took the cake this decade with three. Predictions on who it might be for the '20s?

I'd like to say Yale, since they have a virtuous cycle in recruiting, admissions and team culture, but I'm not sure how the turnover in assistant coaches impacts things.
My guess is Duke if Coach Denowski doesn't retire too soon.
My hope is that Cornell can rise up to one.

If you're impatient, go to the 0:30 mark and watch for 3 seconds.

Hopkins with 2; no one else close.

Everyone wants to change the world but, no one wants to do the dishes.

I think my 3 top choices would be:
Maryland - They have been pretty regularly near the top and won a title recently. Their current players and incoming recruits look strong going into the next decade.
Duke - While it has been a few years since they won a title, they are regularly near the top. They are bringing in some top recruits over the next two seasons. They question mark with Duke could be how long Danowski lasts and how they replace him.
Virginny - Just won the title. While Tiffany did do it with a number of Starsia's recruit, recruiting looks pretty strong going forward.

Those would be my choices, Cooter. Nice list.

Don't see how you could pick anyone besides Duke. They were the most dominant program over the previous decade and I don't see enough factors changing for a team to realistically usurp them.
When it comes to desirability to recruits, who tops them? No offense to the Terp backers, but if you have the choice between a Duke diploma and an UMD diploma, who is taking the latter? Add to that good weather and a good looking student body, and the place sells itself. Duke admins have been supportive in getting recruits in, so they have a wide net and a strong value proposition that maybe only UNC and UVA can match.
UVA seems like the closest challenger, but is a step below in coaching stability. Whether he goes to Harvard this summer or not, Kirwin is going to find a HC job sooner rather than later and Lars's resume pre-Kirwin isn't great so it would be interesting to see what happens there. Caputo isn't going anywhere with his two sons enrolled.
Oh yeah, and the Dukies are going to have 4 years of the most hyped recruit since M.Powell, which can't hurt.
Obviously things change and the unpredictable can always happen, but smart money has to be on the Blue Devils.

You realize that john Danowski is 65 years old? He may choose to coach through the next decade, but my bet is no.
Re: Which Program Will Win The Most National Titles This Upcoming Decade?
I don't see him making it the whole decade either, I just don't see a significant drop off if they slot in Caputo, Casesse, or Chemotti

Good for you.
How many final fours have those guys coached teams to?

dating to at least 2008 with syracuse (with the exception of denver, who i don't remember much about), the national champ has had arguably the best or one of the very best rope units in the country.
with star appeal or just very good players, and/or depth. whoever recruits best there has a very good chance. and still probably very underrecruited. it's the most consistent contributing factor, imo.

Re: Which Program Will Win The Most National Titles This Upcoming Decade?
same as tillman @ hahvahd?
danowski @ hofstra?
starsia and tiffany?
toomey, breschi, shay?
there are guys that did it before @ another school or as an asst (tierney, desko), but on the whole it'd seem that other attributes could be greater precursors.
Re: Which Program Will Win The Most National Titles This Upcoming Decade?
One can come up with a list of many who didn't.
Assuming Danowski goes another five years, how many of those coaches on your list won a title in their first five years of coaching at the new school?
I believe Tiffany was in a final four at Brown.
