I might be an "unrepentant homer" but you are freaking delusional and frankly dishonest if you think Ben Wayer isn't generally more athletic and trucking the F*ck out of Chris and getting that ground ball in a head-to-head..that's a clown take. Dude is 5'10 180 wet, Ben Wayer is 6'4 and 215 and fast as f*ck..he plays end-to-end..chris plays attack. give me a break. Not knocking Chris' alpha bonafides, but seriously? We aren't talking about who is going to win the Tewey, or plays the more glamorous position, or has the better "name" legacy..we're talking about pound-for-pound lacrosse players, difference makers all over the field and Ben Wayer is the best in the country, bar none. The type of guy you see in high school...people start asking, who the F* is that guy??? If you played you know what I'm talking about.Radi-skull wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 8:14 pmI was responding to the "more versatile, more alpha" aspect, as well as Pound for Pound. Kirst is a phenomenal shooter and is probably be the Tewaaraton favorite. But I don't think Chris' Alpha can be questioned and his relentlessness on the ride (not as good as Pat though) adds versatility.coda wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 4:41 pmProbably need to put more thought into this, but Kirst is the 1st name the pops into my head for best returning player. Sam King is another, I would have over Kavanaugh. Pilate and Smith come to mind on defense. I am sure I am missing a few names. Too lazy to go through who is backRadi-skull wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 4:29 pmYou know there is still a Kavanagh playing college lacrosse right?
And pound for pound, Chris is 5'10 180 vs CJ at 6'2 210 and Wayer at 6'3 215
But it is all subjective and adding in Kirst or anyone else ro the convo helps to rebut Hooz's assertion so I'm good with it.
Kirst is a freaking stud and he impact EVERY game, but I really think Wayer does so much people don't see game in, game out. I hope he gets the cred he deserves this season.
