Wow. Great news. Surprised Ball is returning. Is he getting a second Masters degree? ;)

I would think the portal wish list at this point would be ssdm, pole and close defenders. If can land a starter or two there this team may be a lot better than rebuilding mode.

Very good get for Hoyas. SSDM saw our top 3 boys graduate so definitely a position of need. Heard he is of the Hess mold, big, physical and can be dangerous in transition.

That is huge. He had a great year after getting the opportunity to start. Also, from what I have seen, looks like a great leader.

Hearing Shubert is out for the year with an injury from summer league. That really sux for him and Gtown offense.

Before this, Georgetown picked up three other recruits, four-star goalie and a solid LSM and SSDM. Good balance so far, and would like to see a top level attacker or two.

consensus Top 40 recruit is headed to @HoyasMLacrosse in Ted Budreski, a midfielder
for Winchester (Mass.) and @3dNewEngland
One of the more two-handed Class of 2026 recruits, Budreski checks a lot of
boxes and is super dynamic with his high-level passing and shooting ability.

This Massachusetts pipeline has produced some great Hoyas on both sides of the ball. Great to see it continue.

Per the guy covering the scrimmage for IL

Final score Georgetown 10, Virginia 9. @HoyasMLacrosse led 7-6 after Q3; both teams subbed a lot in Q4. Miller w 3G, Bayman and Caggiano w 2G for Hoyas. Morris the more impressive goalie for @UVAMensLax. Wayer did a bit of everything and was working as hard at the end of Q3 in a fall scrimmage as he was in the F4 last year in Philly. Special mention to UVa senior Tucker Mullen, a goal and forced a GB on a ride w pure hustle.

Sounds like a good initial showing for the '25 squad and a couple of the newcomers. Great to hear some of the fresh blood stepping up offensively.

The '25 team will be one built from the back end as the write up indicates. I heard Moore looked great and Banks might have been the best player on the field. You can definitely win with a team like that. You find an offense that can get you to 10 each game and you're looking good. It will be interesting to see it unfold.

44 Ben Wayer was easily the best player on the field. Was impressed with Gtown’s defense and Morris made some amazing saves for UVa.

Love the outlook on the defensive end. Certainly bodes well. But, I don't think 10 gpg cuts in the shot clock era. You are going to need 12/13/14 a game even with a great defense.

Awesome to see that several freshman were running at attack along with Bayman, Carroll, and Caggiano. Unfortunately, it does appear that the rumors of Schubert being injured are true. Lets hope he can return in time for the spring.
