I see your point... but if the objective is to beat Trump, you go with the candidate that can give that 20%. I would almost certainly vote for a candidate like Hick. He checks all of the boxes in my book. I would think that there is someone in the Democrat party that understands what they need to do and what voters they must persuade to win in 2020. It is a cliché but right now the Democrats are biting off their nose just to spite their face.a fan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 4:10 pmIt absolutely bothered me! You've been right all along. Trump is going to cruise to a victory barring unforeseen events. The Dems are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
If they nominate a guy like Hick, youth/lefty voter turnout will likely suffer, handing Trump a win.

forever - I vote in a blue state so my vote did not matter - I understand and appreciate how the electoral college works - that is why I chuckle when people say she won by 3 million votes - if it was voter based I would have had to make a tough decision and to be candid, still not sure I would have pulled the trigger.
afan and cu77 - I am scheduled to go back to my VA case worker Monday, federal not state, your tax dollars.....I am a kid in the candy store and what are we going to do with the free candy money? I actually was silly enough to think I could stall ball for another 10 years - nope, the boss is a dog on the bone now, free, free, free. I keep asking her who pays for all this stuff....nope its free . I weigh what I gained by what the taxpayer supposedly owes me.....IMHO I got a damn good deal, my ROI and DCF are way better then 90% of anything I have invested in, Apple and my first company is the only ones doing better .
afan, applaud you man. We created as a lark an apple pie moonshine and had it distilled- way better then Jimmy J - no distributor wanted to take the risk, I get that - start-up - good luck to you. I will look for you in Telluride in about 6 months. I have lots of great apple pie if anyone is interested

Even I cannot understand fatty/rrr but I continue to to make an effort and he has some interesting and valid points assuming I read them correctly.
retry - I can get a $1,700 monthly tax free check; free healthcare and a parking sticker if I chose to pull the trigger. It is free compliments of your tax dollars. What some posters, cannot speak for them, are trying to say is it is not free and get off your arse and earn/re-earn it. Not complicated.

You have to re-earn VA benefits? If you lose a limb or two you have to re-earn coverage at some point? Might be hard to get off your arse when you have no legs.LandM wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 8:14 pm Even I cannot understand fatty/rrr but I continue to to make an effort and he has some interesting and valid points assuming I read them correctly.

Well I still don't know what "pull the trigger" means, but never mind. If you're saying that you are a veteran who is due VA benefits by law, then I would say that you have earned them. Take them with this taxpayer's blessing.

I don’t know why anyone who works all their life, expects social security benefits. That’s the problem....people want free stuff.

Pretty spot on.The activists who attend these party conventions are well to the left of the average Democrat. Maybe that’s why Joe Biden, who leads the 2020 field, didn’t show up in San Francisco. At least Messrs. Delaney and Hickenlooper had the guts to face down the socialist crowd.

From the TULSI GABBARD email:
We just got the new requirements for the DNC’s third debates. They’re going to take a lot of work to meet and we need your help.
The DNC says we need to receive donations from 55,000 more grassroots donors for a total of 130,000 by August 28 to qualify for the third primary debates in September. That’s only three months away!
Anyone know the verification terms of these Obama-like "grassroots" donors?
exactly........AKA...no, no you DON"T

For cradleandshoot.....I really think the Dems have no choice to give someone like Bernie a chance. I think Biden would get creamed.
Headline: Hard Data that a Centrist Democrat Would be a Losing Candidate.
My social media is filled with libs and conservatives. I'm telling you, if they don't nominate someone as left as Bernie, these folks will stay home, just like they did with Hillary.
You have to admit, Bernie would be a seriously tangible change to the status quo. And isn't that what most people are asking for in their voting booth?

utter strangeness....Bernie a Democrat? As someone that helped on his first Congressional run, I could, and did, support him and his thoughts. Not this time. Not with Bernie following the band with the "climate change first" nonsense. (the MOST critical issue of our time? What the heck.......get lost Bern )a fan wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 6:44 pm For cradleandshoot.....I really think the Dems have no choice to give someone like Bernie a chance. Tulsi Gabbard has my full support. Ask your "friends"
Regarding "social media"........is this a matter of who's richard is bigger than scenario? Do you have over a thousand "friends" on fecesbook or instachat? (non-booz social )
We have established that tRump is NOT a CONservative. He is firmly a TAATS. Bernie had his chance. The FACT that he went out to the USA and said "vote for Hillary" did it for me. Bernie got his TAATS merit badge....and Hillaryoous STILL blamed him for her losing.
Tulsi Gabbard. Why don't YOU and your thousands of social media friends discuss HER? I smell lazy political yawn fests....
