You read my note I wouldnt mind Hobart doing it with the right staff. But attrition rate matters too

Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Rumor and solid rumor has it that Lacalandra has 2 yrs of eligibility left to play at St Joes. He had to sit out this season due to 2nd transfer or whatever but was granted 2 more yrs of eligibility. So St Joes will get 2 yrs from him. Good news for St Joes. The bird that told me this rumor u can't get a better bird to spill the beans. lol
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Hasn’t he been in school for like 5 years already lol
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
His freshman season was the Covid season. Then he played the next 2 seasons at LIU. He then transferred to Ohio State but only played 4 games. He sat out this yr and just practiced with St Joes and went to all the games. I figured he had 1 season left but the NCAA gave him another yr due to only playing 4 games at Ohio state. He technically only played 2 n half seasons of college lacrosse. I mean Levi Anderson was 25 this yr on St Joes and Degnan was maybe 31 so I guess it's no big deal anymore. Lol
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Great news if you are a Hawk fan. First team all-conference talent. If he stays healthy over/under is 40 assists
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
A lot of incoming talent for the Hawks,
hopefully these incoming freshmen don’t get buried.

I’m sure he’s the best kid ever and has a passion for the game (though I’ve passing in elite players burn out many times so that’s not an absolute outcom-love the sport and play forever at all costs).DoubleD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 5:42 pmHis freshman season was the Covid season. But we’re are talking three colleges in three states. Any degrees yet?

As portal activity winds down, here are A-10 publicized transfers.HopFan16
Re: Transfer Portal 2025
Incoming transfers to
Delaware: Cory Capri (A, Yale), Jack Kolbe (A, Merrimack), Aiden Bodonyi (D, Ohio State)
High Point: Jeb Brenfleck (A, Penn State)
Richmond: Ethan Gyllenhaal (SSDM, Bucknell), Brooks Rhine (D, Hobart), Jack Dougherty (M, Stony Brook)
Saint Joseph's: Keaton Zavitz (M, Ohio State)
UMass: Gavin Begonia (A, Ohio State), Trace Hogan (M, Merrimack)
I'm sure several more will show in the fall when 1st rosters are posted.
High Point with double digit transfer outs that were announced way back when.
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
I think the best guys will play. Departing players played big roles as Freshmen for the most part. No reason incoming Freshmen won’t have the same opportunity. Best players will play.
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Their whole attack line graduated and a few middies from the top 6 so spots will be open for younger players. Richie I'm sure will play attack and QB the offense which is good with some younger players getting PT now. Most freshman don't play in any sport only usually the special ones or due to injuries so Richie isn't taking anyone's spot. Especially he has 2 yrs of eligibility left. I'm sure coach Wray is glad he's got him for two yrs the kid is special. Should be a 1st team All Conference and no doubt he could at least come out the box on any top 10 program. He's a very talented player who can dodge, shoot, dish and has great stick skills. I'm really curious if his former running mate at LIU Blake Behlen transfers there to join him as he's in the portal right now. He can play attack or midfield but with St Joes whole attack gone I can see him sliding right in. Would help keep St Joes at the top of the conference. We shall see...
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Agree 100% the best will play so any freshman will have a shot to play. Wray has shown he's not scared to play freshman if they deserve to play.

So I guess LaCalandra is hoping to be the oldest rookie in the PLL ???DoubleD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 9:43 pmAgree 100% the best will play so any freshman will have a shot to play. Wray has shown he's not scared to play freshman if they deserve to play.

Color me very skeptical that he has 2 years of eligibility left

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Yeah, pretty sure he only has one left. He forfeited a year after he went from OSU to SJU. You cannot transfer to 3 schools during a 4 year degree.
I did the breakdown somewhere on this thread, but its something like:
2020 - LIU (Covid) Fresh
2021 - LIU R-Fresh
2022 - LIU R-Soph
2023- OSU R-Jr - Withdrew under 30% of season played (reserved eligibility)
2024- St Joe's R-Jr x2 (Had to sit out for 3rd school)
2025- St Joe R-Sr ... last year of eligibility.

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
So far,
nothing really from the A-10 re: 2026 recruits, I had expected some movement, but they are still lagging the other top conferences in drawing those top recruits.
There are though 5-6 2026 recruits - maybe next year after the Hens join full time.
Its supposedly a better class.

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Hawks have 3-4 26 commits
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Maybe the A-10 can pick up some 4 stars for 2026,
there are over 40 IL 4 stars uncommitted,
Course, overall, these ratings mean very little except to maybe 10-15% of schools - so far only a limited amount of Canadians on this list, so expect the list to increase and also, with two years remaining some late bloomers will come along.
Here's a 2026 I'd like to see at an A-10 school, could be a disrupter in that conference, fits in with the A-10 style,
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/recruiti ... commitment

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Indeed. The problem with the portal is really lack of development.
Like you said, kids coming in, getting buried or waiting for their chance, only for a shinier penny to jump in front of the line.
Gotta be frustrating for kids. Strange new world, with the portal. Teams are able to rebuild and fill recruiting gaps almost instantaneously.
