Just the thought of a "PL77" gives me nightmares...they were around when a poke-check was effective--and painful!

Yup!! Memories of Schardt, Howard, Gringeri, Nelson, Corcoran, and even our own KMartin hammering away brings back memories of welts and pain.

First time poster but been a fan since my time as a statesman. A much more winning time. Was curious as to who you all think could replace someone like John Herlihy. He reminded me a lot of myself in college just with a few extra pounds packed on. I’m curious if max snellenburger could take that step having a similar build to us. On a similar note, how many guys on the team do you think shoot 95+ these days? Feel like we have been missing guys with an absolute stroke (especially now with John gone). Are there any returning 5th years with a stroke? Freshman with a stroke? Feel like 95 is the cut off at this level and could be a reason for our shooting woes in the past. Thanks and Hip Hobart!

Any word on whether John Harding is practicing with the lacrosse team? He's on the football team and had a solid first game. It would be a heavy load to practice with both squads, especially as a freshman.

He's with the football team in the fall. He isn't doing both.

Will he play lax come spring semester ?

I believe that is the plan.

50% we struggle with guys getting to 25% lately.

Alumni game is Friday Oct. 4 at 7 PM. Homecoming weekend. I hope there's a good alumni turnout as it is a Friday night. Though I understand why. A couple of those noon Saturday games had we alumni in "subpar" shape.

The alumni look sharp as always!!!

Looking forward to making a better showing than the past couple years. Maybe we should try and keep the beers on the sidelines for a change

Just spoke with a source close to the program, there are now 11 guys that can bring it over 95mph--you fruitcake..

Not sure about the 95+, but I'd guess most of the team has a stroke now and then.

Hobart has an indoor field.

Hobart traveled to Michigan last February and the indoor facillity was not available.They played at a nearby prep school's indoor field.
