First time the USA has ever beat 'em in the tourney. Just fantastic lacrosse.

Check your ESPN channels, lotta games on there.
Didn’t Spallina do great in box last summer, bottom line is like it or not he has do produce in big games this season that is how he will be judged, 12 points against a team that sucks won’t do it. I think he has to go to cage strong and stop the behind btb nonsense. And he will be first team AA
Box is a different game, Joey's pretty good at it. Smaller arena, shorter distances to get to the cage, a much tighter game that moves quicker, fewer players to come with the double, he doesn't have to muscle his way for much distance and the open player is closer to him. He also doesn't have the top D man (or any long poles) on him all the time. I'm just enjoying this competition right now and this isn't hurting anybody's game. Tre Deere playing for the Haudenosaunee team, looking good too.
Couple of Joey's goals were from long distance too, had the element of surprise and Lady Luck helpin' a little on those.

Spallina is a machine, plays lacrosse year round.
230 points this past year, including the OLA playoffs.

Grant Jr had 235 points one year in the 90s in OLA play (plus playoffs).
Teat had 211 points including playoffs in 2016.

I don’t buy into this whole Spallina win the big one or else story,
he’s a historically significant player, well paid I’m sure, a guy
who is bound to go number one in the NLL draft,

game is different these days, Nick Saban had a good bit on how
the NCAA player is changed.

The Orange make the Final Four this year, and maybe people look
at Spallina differently, or maybe they don’t.

Flashing back to when Gait was made HC there were dome making comments along the lines of “he won’t be able to recruit” and “he is too old and kids don’t know ir care about him.” Etc. he has done an excellent job to date.

Blast from the Past

Coach Roy Simmons Jr brought his 1989 NCAA Champion team to the UK to visit Lockerbie, Scotland, the site of the tragedy of PAN AM Flight 103

They played 3 exhibition games vs England National team

This is Game One

The OLA Jr A has been dominated for the last 2 years by
#22 Joey Spallina (Orangeville)
#91 Tre Deere (Orangeville)
#17 Finn Thomson (Mimico)

I'm looking forward to them building a connection in The Dome

#91 Tre Deere maybe the most creative of the three

Was surprised by how little Deere saw the field last year, thought he should've been out there a whole lot more.
I think Joey is a better box player (it's a different game) than field player, which is not to say I don't think he's a pretty darn good field player too. The Spallina bashers will never stop, that's just what they do regardless of his play and significant contributions.
To be ignored.
