And "rights" aren't limited to adults.
But of course, this freedom we enjoy in America to own guns is not an unrestricted, unregulated "right" rather it's a conditional "privilege".
I will say, however, that I carried a shotgun in the field and in a blind on my own as a 12+ years old. I could be out for a couple of hours on my own. From the age of 5, I had accompanied my dad and his hunting partners in many blinds and fields, eventually carrying a BB gun as practice. They were diligent in their safety training.

When they were old enough to drive a lot of them brought their guns
to school with them too (coming from hunting or going to after school.
No one gave that a second thought and there was never an incident with
any of them. Something's changed for sure.

Just stop talking to, asking or recognizing women as people and classify them as chattel as they should naturally be.

Walz was one such kid who brought his shotgun to school for that purpose. While that's clearly not ok anymore, it's a far cry from the assault weapon threat. 6 shots and then have to reload means you're done with 6 shots...DMac wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 7:50 pmYup, commonplace with a good number of kids I went to school with.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 4:40 pm I will say, however, that I carried a shotgun in the field and in a blind on my own as a 12+ years old.

That demand, exponentially rose when BHO took office, then the "Now is the time" of ~2012/2013 made it whole.
The law of unintended consequences, or was it intended?
~ Maybe BHO and others had investments in Firearm's, and knew what would take place?
~ They wanted to flood the market, to make the problem worse and get it to a tipping point; the long look?
~ How they did not comprehend that they would create a supply/demand issue makes us question just how smart they really were.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Unbelievably serious allegation. The President of the United States ("and others") made policy aimed at increasing his portfolio value in gun manufacturers. Just tossing this idea out there? No proof. The GOP way; you're fitting right in.
