A convicted felon breaks laws criminally in order to possess a gun criminally and does criminal things. It's almost as if criminals don't obey laws.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 11:01 amMore like, read about a very strange guy. The only time it is difficult to get your hands on a weapon is when your a law abiding citizen obeying the law and going through the proper legal process. It is amazing how efficient the pipeline is to providing illegal weapons. Circumventing that FBI background check sure expedites the process.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 12:42 pmMy guess is he broke into someone’s home and stole the gun or bought it illegally. Hooray for companies meeting consumer demand for products that can kill other people...in fact in large numbers very quickly.WaffleTwineFaceoff wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 3:52 pmConsumer demand for a legal and regulated product being met by companies operating legally in our capitalist society is now a nefarious and evil plot for profit maximization? Capitalism my a-z-z.
Make them liable for their products like every other company in America if their products cause harm. Because they are ubiquitous
it should come as no surprise that the bad guys have so many of them.
My rhetorical question was for Cradle in answer to his statement about law-abiding citizens not being able to purchase a firearm legally without difficulty. ( I guess you missed that just like you miss the intended point of 2A ). Why is the word 'militia" in there anyway if it is an unfettered and allegedly individual right? NOTE: SCOTUS ruled on this point about militia in United States v. Miller in 1939.

Funny that free speech is abridged in some cases, the press is not free in some cases, and the right to assemble peacefully is not allowed in some cases. Even for previously law abiding citizens. All rights in that pesky first Amendment (well, pesky to some) and not merely privileges.WaffleTwineFaceoff wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 3:52 pmConsumer demand for a legal and regulated product being met by companies operating legally in our capitalist society is now a nefarious and evil plot for profit maximization? It ain't time worn. It's right there, in the very Constitution that you point to when you want to tell us owning a gun is a right.WaffleTwineFaceoff wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 8:39 am Ah, the time worn Militia McMuffin is back on the menu. You're all like this.....you want 'the good parts' of the Constitution, and want to ignore the parts you don't like.
And for the 1,000th time, you're getting what you want, and none of us here get why you're on here complaining about winning.

Militia aside, SCOTUS has ruled again and again that the rights outlined in the various amendments aren't absolute. You can't incite riots and issue death threats in the name of free speech, or peacefully assemble at certain various times or locations or print anything you want in a newspaper.WaffleTwineFaceoff wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 8:39 amAh, the time worn Militia McMuffin is back on the menu. There is also a punctuation issue in the amendment.
It is an interesting juxtaposition between the absolutists on the second amendment who become relativists on the first
