I don't think most of their recruiting is outbound, at least for 25 transfers. There are plenty of solid girls reaching out to them proactively for a variety of reasons.

Re: Recruiting
Usually the new programs (Rhode Island, UNCC, Xavier etc) have historically committed 17-21 girls for their inaugural year plus transfers. FSU is in a weird spot as their first year is the '25 class and the majority of '25s committed prior to the announcement. Assume they need to land 4-6 D, 4-6 A, 1-2 Goalies and the rest Midis to field a team and they can't wait until spring of next year to assume they land decent transfers.
Re: Recruiting
I would expect them to bring in at least 10 2025 decommits before National signing day and then a 2026 class of 15-18ish. Add to that 8-10 transfers after the upcoming season and you have a roster.25and32LaxDad wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:50 pmUsually the new programs (Rhode Island, UNCC, Xavier etc) have historically committed 17-21 girls for their inaugural year plus transfers. Re: Recruiting
They better get moving or they will not be starting next year (25-26) and gonna have to take a year like USF.25and32LaxDad wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:50 pmUsually the new programs (Rhode Island, UNCC, Xavier etc) have historically committed 17-21 girls for their inaugural year plus transfers. Don’t you think they should have a lot of flips already? More than the three. So weird.LaxDadMax wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:55 pmI would expect them to bring in at least 10 2025 decommits before National signing day and then a 2026 class of 15-18ish. Thought their first season is spring of '26 so the '26 commits will still be in high school.LaxDadMax wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:55 pmI would expect them to bring in at least 10 2025 decommits before National signing day and then a 2026 class of 15-18ish. Two prospect days coming up so maybe they get some '25s from those.Relax77 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:35 pmDon’t you think they should have a lot of flips already? More than the three. You show up at a prospect camp committed, . You better hope you get offered.25and32LaxDad wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:53 pmTwo prospect days coming up so maybe they get some '25s from those.Relax77 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:35 pmDon’t you think they should have a lot of flips already? They need ACC flips. Not bottom of a weaker teams recruit list. It will take a while since kids are interested in the school and conference. Not necessarily trusting the hires to win anytime soon.

She is very good. Plenty of girls were missed by IL ....shows clearly by missing her. i was told coaches don't look anywayKleizaster wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:30 pm Rassas to ND

Re: Recruiting
Backer might be the 2nd best middie on that YJ team behind Buffardi.
Re: Recruiting
It will take time for sure. But I think they can be better than Pit and Lville by season 2. Key for them will be to forge a pipeline from Florida Select, Eagle Stix and SoZo. All of those clubs have very talented 26 and 27 classesDjkhalid wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 8:05 amRelax77 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:35 pmDon’t you think they should have a lot of flips already? coaches DO NOT look at IL rankings or any other rankings. they sort the players themselves.Codylax14 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 8:54 amShe is very good. Re: Recruiting
Coaches don't look at those rankings at all. They look at fit and use the good ole eye test when evaluating players. IL has their own criteria for evaluating talent, sometimes involving coaching input. There are alot of good players out there and it's simply impossible to rank them all. Alot slip through the cracks. I think IL does a fairly good job overall.intheknow247 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:36 pmcoaches DO NOT look at IL rankings or any other rankings. they sort the players themselves.Codylax14 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 8:54 amShe is very good. Some here would disagree but that topic has been debated to death here.
But the Backer omission is a big one because i know for a fact alot of college coaches were high on her. Just last year she was seen as a top 15 level recruit. To not rank her, or even give her 4 stars is a big woof
Re: Recruiting
An interesting observation Not one Long Island girl has been listed as committing Besides Yale picking up one Perhaps

A lot of wisdom in taking most or all of your official visits.
