If I am reading this fascinating but disorganized page right, Gus Bickford, St. George’s, 1981 and 1982. Can’t find the other one (maybe Doug Brown, St. Mark’s, also 81 and 82?) but if you have an hour to go down a rabbit hole it would be here.
MTA: I was thinking Tom Gagnon. But Doug Brown was AA in 1981 and1982 (and Bickford (above)). Gagnon was AA in 80 and 81. I had to defend both those guys. Doug Brown later won a cpl Stanley Cups.
Also, my RLS team went 13-0 in 81 and won the ISL. I (we) worried about Gagnon, not so much Brown or Bickford.

I did a cut a paste for both rosters and added missing commitments or typos for the ISL team because I know all that info. I don't have that for MIAA.
St. John prep commitments - Jack Weissenburger, Harvard. Ryan Delucia, Georgetown. Jack Doherty, Wesleyan. Luke Kelly, Michigan.
SJP with only one senior D1 commit, 5 juniors, looks be more of same for next year.
Five seniors are heading to strong D3 schools as well (Endicott, Conn College, Wesleyan, Union, Babson) so it's far from a weak class, but next year looks like an uptick in talent. No one in the class of 2025 looks like a Jimmy Ayers type, but it's more D1 level players in a single class than they've had before. I'd love to see them get a game against BH, Seb's, or Nobles when the teams are in late April/May form. Any ISL-Catholic Conference match ups would be great tbh. There are ISL-CC games at the sub varsity levels - and players, parents, and I assume coaches want to see that for the varsity teams as well - I'm not sure why it never happens.
The only time it makes sense for an ISL team to play a non-league game is during the stretch after the ISL season ends. Late April-May is the heart of the ISL regular season…why play a non league? That makes zero sense.
The ISL schedule is just too tough.
Yeah, maybe that Wednesday after the ISL championship. A last a hurrah for BH or Seb's and a playoff tune up for SJP.
NLF came out with their rankings (top 60 + honorable mentions) for the class of 2026. Obviously there could be some biases based on affiliation, but it's interesting to see at least on interpretation of who will be getting early attention in Sept. https://nlfrankings.com/nlf-spring-2024 ... ngs-31-60/
8. Tuck Gilbane, Att, Nobles
14. Tedy Frisoli, Att, St. Seb's
19. George Kelly, Def, St. Seb's
37. Brian Burke, Def, St. Seb's
Honrable Mention: Dylan Casillo, Mid, Belmont Hill
Honrable Mention: Ty Curry, Att, St. Seb's
On the recruiting front, there should be another big batch of 2025 commitments soon as NESCACs begin their process on Monday. That's always a big ripple for the ISL. At a brief glance I'd say there's 20ish seniors who are on that mid D1-high D3 cusp. At this point most will commit D3, but there were late summer commitments to both Georgetown and Duke the past two years, so who knows.
Finally, I'm putting together a transfer of list for the ISL. I'm almost finished with it, but if you have any news of players coming to the ISL, switching from one ISL school to another, or transferring out of the league please send me a PM or put it in the comments.
Full game in the link below. Unfortunately there's no commentators, so if you don't know who everybody is then you don't really know what you're watching.
With 9/1 and the recruitment of the class of 2026 about to begin, below is what I have for 2025 ISL commitments. There's still a few uncommitted guys who could play college lacrosse if they want to imo, and there's been some recent flips, so this list certainly isn't final. Please let me know if I'm missing anyone.

Inside Lacrosse released their list of five star, four star, and three star players for the class of 2026. The ISL did pretty well.
Obviously college coaches might see things differently, but IL does get out to a lot of events and tournaments, and also share their opinions/get feedback from others out on the recruiting trail. You don't have to agree with their opinion, but they do put in a lot of work.

Both Sebs & Nobles attack will be great. Sebs has too many poles to pick from so not surprised to see a 3 star transfer. Crann the best offensive player in the league last year, can he or one of highly ranked attack make a run at the all time scoring title set a couple of years ago? BH doesn't rebuild they just reload. MIlton is on the come, maybe a year away but they will very good this year, but who will be in net? Sooner or later one would expect Thayer to figure it out.
Yes, Clayton transferred and reclassed. He's the biggest new name to the ISL but below is the running tab of transfers that I noted coming in or switching between ISL schools. I'm sure I missed some kids. Any 2028s that I included have reclassed after doing their freshman year somewhere else.
Trey Clayon - Mid - Acton Boxborough to Belmont Hill 2025 to 2026
Ryan Martin - Att - Winchester to Belmont Hill 2026 to 2027
Toby Grenier - FO - Marblehead to Govs 2026
Tripp Schuhwerk - Mid - BC High to Govs 2026
Landon Rey - Mid - Lexington to Govs 2025 to 2026
Charlie Elder - Mid - Ipswich to Govs 2026 to 2027
Teddy Whipple - Mid - Pingree to Govs 2026 to 2027
Seve Lee - Mid - Winchester to Govs 2027 to 2028
Dominic Villare - Lsm/Def - Chelmsford to Govs 2027
Colin Hope - Att - Barrington (RI) to Middlesex 2025 to 2026
Elliot Koopersmith - Att/Mid - Wayland to Middlesex 2026 to 2027
Will Batchelor - Att - Acton Boxborough to Middlesex 2027 to 2028
Parker Boyce - Att - Natick to Middlesex 2027 to 2028
Luke Sardone - Def - Winchester to Middlesex 2026 to 2027
Daniel Protopopov - Def - Acton Boxborough to Milton Academy 2027
Andrew Grosso - FO - Wellesley to Nobles 2027 to 2028.
Ray Gilkes - FO - Natick to Rivers 2025 to 2026
Will Haggerty - Mid - CM to St. Seb’s 2027
Peter Bourque - Mid - CM to Tabor 2026 to 2027 (football focused)
Ryan O’Donnell - Mid - Barnstable to Tabor 2027

A way too early comment

I don't know who holds the all-time points record (maybe one of the Cheek brothers from Nobles?) but if Crann does set a new one next year, Frisoli and Gilbane will probably both break it in 2026.
My understanding is that Hayden Cheek had it for a few years until Aidan O'Neil posted 113 points in '22 then Grayson McClements beat that with 136 points (81g & 55a) in '23.........at least according to Tabor & Nobles twitter feeds. I recall Crann was second in the league in '23.
Last year according to islsports.org Geraci led the league with 99 points (52 & 47) while Frisoli had 80, Crann 79 and Gilbane with 56. Obviously the last two have 2 more shots at it.
Those must be single season records, right? Both O'Neil and McClements had two years altered by Covid. Crann could have a season like that because he's phenomenal, but also MX has fewer weapons and probably won't have as blowouts as the top 3-4 teams.
Frisoli and Gilbane have great shots at all-time numbers (assuming an accurate record exists) because they're on track to play five years of varsity and each already have 170ish career points heading into junior year.
For the record, I hate the pursuit of points as a goal, and hope ISL coaches would let younger guys get run in a lopsided win instead of having the star play four quarters to put up 6g, 8a against Brooks.
Yes, single season numbers. Not sure if the ISL scrolls have a good number for career points. I can’t recall where I heard it but what I did hear was Cheek was somewhere in neighborhood of 325-350. Best I can tell McClements was around 310 but lost his freshman year and have of sophomore year. O’Neil got an even tougher deal with COVID. Both seemed to avg 6+ a game. Lowrie also comes to mind. No idea what he did for RL but as I recall wasn’t he 2 time player of the year? A rare feat.
Agree either Frisoli or Gilbane could run by 350 and remove any doubt but keep an eye on the youngest O’Neil who might beat them all.

He could do it by a margin if you carry over the points he's accumulated as a middle schooler playing varsity on the Cape.
He is going to want the single season record back in the family for sure...and I wouldn't bet against it. The other McClements boys are both in net so no hope to contest.

Some additional info after IL's initial release of their star ratings. Inside Lacrosse and Ty Xanders at Prep Lacrosse have both done top 100 lists, and NLF a top 120.
Tedy Frisoli: #11 Inside Lacrosse, #3 Ty Xanders, #9 NLF (Average rank #8)
Tuck Gilbane: #20 Inside Lacrosse, #11 Ty Xanders, #17 NLF (Average rank #16)
Brian Burke: #17 Inside Lacrosse, #28 Ty Xanders, #31 NLF (Average rank #25) - Harvard commit
George Kelly: #25 Inside Lacrosse, #26 Ty Xanders, #34 NLF (Average rank #28) - Duke commit
Dylan Casillo: #28 Inside Lacrosse, #51 Ty Xanders, #86 NLF (Average rank #53)
Ty Curry: #51 Inside Lacrosse, #40 Ty Xanders, #48 NLF (Average rank #46)
Ian Smith: #77 Inside Lacrosse, #95 NLF (Average rank #86)
Mack Smink: Three-stars Inside Lacrosse, #106 NLF
Adding a little color to my list of the transfers to/within the ISL. Here are the five most intriguing additions imo.
Trey Clayon - Att/Mid - Acton Boxborough to Belmont Hill 2025 to 2026
Probably the most recognizable name of this group. He was AA, All Scholastic, and Dual County League POY. It’ll be interesting to see where he plays. Belmont Hill has so much offensive strength in the midfield, and two starting spots open at attack. Flipping two of the middies to attack could be the easiest solution, and Clayton’s versatility makes him an option to be one of those guys. Fitting him there with Evans would immediately turn that unit from a question into a strength. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEl6fu3jNWU
Tripp Schuhwerk - Mid - BC High to Govs 2026
Part of a big batch of additions for Govs, he put up a lot of points - 37g, 23a - for a strong BCH High team. He’s a lefty who can shoot, dodge, and feed while bringing the tenacity to compete at both ends, play faceoff wing, etc. He should add some punch to the Red Dogs first midfield, and his presence will help keep the defense honest while dealing with a very talented attack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azaG1k6u1_0
Colin Hope - Att - Barrington (RI) to Middlesex 2025 to 2026
One of the best players in RI, it’s gotta sting St. George’s to see him leave the state to their main rival. Smooth player with very strong fundamentals (stick always by the ear), he appears to have flexibility between midfield and attack. The Zebras graduated some big pieces from a not very deep offense. While the improvement of younger players helps offset that, the addition of Hope gives the Zebras another bona fide playmaker to go along with Crann and Egan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG-AHbroToQ
Daniel Protopopov - Def - Acton Boxboroough to Milton Academy 2027
A big get literally and figuratively. He’s already 6’4 and will be an absolute man-child on the field the next three seasons. Coming in along with a goalie transferring from BH, Milton’s class of 2027 might already be making other coaches around the league nervous. Their recruitment is still a year away, but they have a lot of future college players, some of whom could be pretty sought after. It’ll be interesting to see if it’s just this class or if Milton is serious about lacrosse moving forward. I’ve said many times that the school’s enrollment size, prestige, campus & facilities, and location/boarding would allow the team to get really good really quick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj2MWqUrHfI
John Fabbro - Lsm/Def - St. Seb’s to Thayer 2026
I’ll round it out with an intra-league transfer. Fabbro had a strong summer and earned a three-star ranking from Inside Lacrosse. He’s not physically imposing, but is a lefty with good feet and a nice stick with checks, gbs, and handle. He played some for Seb’s but wasn’t a starter at D or a top two lsm, and there’s no guarantee he would have been this spring—Seb’s will feel his loss more next year. He has the talent to be a player who seldomly comes off the field at this level, and he should get that opportunity with the Tigers as an option both at pole and close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjGWi_1OKQQ
