Every last bit of it working for the .gov. How does this do anything but make my point? All of it....every last bit....in service of socialism.
Wrong. You've just demonstrated your ignorance of the multiple revenue streams in aviation & airports.
And who owns the airport? Oh, that's right. The government. Socialism.
The County gets 15% of the gross & we eat it when the airport closes for 6 mos for a runway extension. We collect & pay the fuel taxes & generate $$$ for the gubment, dummy.
Why didn’t you build your own airport? All of those entities you listed are based on the government spending money.
Why don't you build your own roads & bridges ? We paid to use the airport & generated the revenue for it's upkeep.

Govt spending only ? ...weren't you butt hurt by Trump's bad pay ?
We flew several charter junkets to ACY hauling gamblers to Trump's Taj.
Got paid up front & generous comps during layover.

I think everyone learned the lesson that they need to pay more close attention to who the VP is on a ticket when they cast a vote.

(likely, no one learned this lesson)

You sucked those titties dry. I got off my mom’s titties at 18.

An airport tax is a tax levied on passengers for passing through an airport. The tax is generally imposed for the use of the airport and is one of a number of taxes that are typically included in the price of an airline ticket. Revenue from airport taxes is used for facility maintenance.

 Told you he gets it. He's pro-socialism. Only took him, oh, about a decade to admit it.

Now go scurry off and tell your Republican buddies. Because sooner or later (see Project 2025), a leader in your Party will call your bluff, and start slashing things like Public Schools, and start selling roads and bridges to foreign interests.

Oh wait! That's already happening! Never mind.....

43% of our US Ports are owned and/or managed by Foreign companies. Vote Republican! This is a GREAT idea!

Dope to it, admit you're a Socialist & stop trying to drag everyone down into that swamp with you.

You call everything socialist.
You know, more irony from you: you lose your MIND if someone calls a ship or a plane or weapon by a name that isn't 10000% accurate and spot on.

Yet you REFUSE to simply pick up a dictionary, and learn what the F the word socialism means.

For 100th time, socialism is when the Government owns the means of production or service. That's it. Real simple.

I call everything that isn't that, private industry (capitalism).....you know, with private owners, instead of the government owning it.

But sure, a man with your education juuuuuust can't understand what that word means, and you think the UNSA is owned by Elon Musk.

Okay boys and girls now that the Republican and Democrat circuses have left town time to get down to business. Kamala Harris is trying to do something very interesting. She has almost overnight attempted to morph into a conservative Republican. She wants to shut down the southern border like the iron curtain shut down Germany. She has had an epiphany and now is advocating for a smaller government and doesn't want the government telling Americans what to do. So the government will no longer be telling me what kind of car to drive, what kind of stove I can use, what kind of furnace I can use to heat my home, what kind of dryer I can use to dry our laundry and so on and so forth. Do I believe any of this ...heck no I don't. An avowed extreme left wing progressive will never allow smaller government ever.

Let's move on over to team trump. There is nothing new over on the right wing side. trump isn't trying to campaign on any issues as of yet. He is more concerned about how the Dems are cheating him. Who ever is in charge of running his campaign must be totally frustrated. The horses are off and the race has started. Time for team trump to start hammering the opponent on her many weaknesses. I suspect her complete failure at the southern border is her Achilles heal. The opponent has an embarrassing record as DA of San Francisco and AG of California that has the majority of law enforcement leadership in California ready to throw her under the bus.

Where are you getting the notion that “the majority of law enforcement leadership in California “ dislike Harris?

Did she have a successful record of prosecution of violent crime? Sex offenders? Cartels?
Did she have success as AG against big banks? Education scammers?

What’s the beef?

I agree that Dems are likely to continue to regulate. But let us know when you actually get told you can’t buy a gas powered car. For real and not by your Chinese news feed.

But you are right that the Dems have adopted a lot of the language and policies of libertarianism. That used to be aligned with Republicans but MAGA has blown that up. Wide open lane for Harris.

oops: Ca Sherriff's "“We do not support Kamala Harris. She has a history of not supporting law enforcement.”: https://highlandcountypress.com/news/we ... #gsc.tab=0

I think you get the point, but handpicked one item of a list...
"On January 1, 2024, California Assembly Bill 1346 took effect, banning the sale of gas-powered leaf blowers, lawn mowers and other small off-road engines across the Golden State. These engines do present real concerns for air pollution, noise pollution, and climate change."
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Pentagon -- the military industrial complex = world's biggest corporate welfare queens. Beneficiaries of government financed socialism with high approval from the radical far right.

I got that idea by reading interviews from law enforcement folks in California who disagreed with her policies as DA and AG. There is one sheriff who was upset that he was used in a Harris campaign ad without his knowledge. All you have to do is a quick Google search. You can draw your own conclusions just as I did.

There was animosity towards Harris for refusing to put the death penalty on the table when a San Francisco police officer was assassinated. You may disagree but I don't think Kamala Harris will by and large receive much rousing support from law enforcement in California. If the Republicans are not as stupid as I think they are there will be law enforcement people from California popping up in ads that will not be very flattering towards the Kamala Harris record as both DA and AG.

cradleandshoot wrote: Sun Aug 25, 2024 7:31 am Okay boys and girls now that the Republican and Democrat circuses have left town time to get down to business.

I got that idea by reading interviews from law enforcement folks in California who disagreed with her policies as DA and AG. There is one sheriff who was upset that he was used in a Harris campaign ad without his knowledge. All you have to do is a quick Google search. You can draw your own conclusions just as I did.

Won't hurt her even a little. Dems are ALWAYS painted as soft on crime, and soft on war. You have to find something else.....regulation is certainly a differentiator, as you point out, Cradle.

California is an easy mark....it's the one State that ACTUALLY does card-carrying over the top liberal sh(t that the majority of American's do. not. want.

Yes I’ve been I involved with airport bonds and this is it.

But once someone uses the term “but hurt” it’s lost and the joke is on that person for being pathetic.
And when I pay the tax, I am not offsetting it by utilizing government resources to enrich myself over and above the tax. Old Salt thinks he built that.

I basically said the same thing Obama said years ago. The United States Government helps set the stage for people to be successful. If people don’t believe it, go try to do it in Cuba, Russia, Argentina, Chile or any number of places where there isn’t robust government participation in private enterprise. Hell look at the SBA and what their programs have done for people.

We started our ENTIRE 25 year operation with a small SBA loan that we paid in full years ago.

SBA loans? If folks didn't know? The program turns a profit for the .gov. because they charge fees. Not a big profit.....but it's an ENORMOUS economic engine for America.

There are SO many .gov programs that cost the US taxpayer a rounding error that generate massive ROI. Instead of stepping on that accelerator, we pull back. Idiotic.

oops: Ca Sherriff's "“We do not support Kamala Harris.

These engines do present real concerns for air pollution, noise pollution, and climate change."
one sheriff?

I'd assume that are lots of Trump supporters amongst sheriffs in CA.

"Boudreaux, who recently ran for Congress and lost in a special election, ran a campaign ad featuring former President Donald Trump supporting law enforcement"

Years ago I used an SBA loan as part of a financing to help a son buy a business from his father. He told me for years how that financing changed his life as well as his children’s. It wasn’t a major buyout but it has some leverage on it and the SBA helped. Also used a USDA guarantee to help start up a co-op grocery store in an inner city location as part of a mixed use development project. Why someone would be upset about saying the government helped set the stage for a lot of personal success is beyond me. It’s one of the great things about the USA.

"Boudreaux, who recently ran for Congress and lost in a special election, ran a campaign ad featuring former President Donald Trump supporting law enforcement"

yeah, I'm sure there's plenty of MAGA in law enforcement, whether in CA or elsewhere...but that's not remotely "a majority of law enforcement". though I'd think it's like most of the country a 45:45 sort of thing. But one would actually expect in normal times for the GOP candidate to have a 60:40 advantage in law enforcement, maybe even higher...but times are a changing...the majority of law enforcement are in favor of common sense gun regs, and assault weapons ban, and tough penalties for gun trafficking. And the Dems are on that side now. And she actually does have a significant record in prosecuting bad guys and companies successfully.

Harris just went further on the border matter than Biden saying that despite the MAGA/Trump fecklessness, if the Dems get control, she'll call for the conservative Lankford border bill to be brought back up and passed and she'll sign it...Biden hasn't made that pledge and Dems generally want to get some additional concessions...but that's an important and specific pledge that actually is supported by big majorities of border agents. I think she understands the politics of this and will follow through.
