Oh wow! Someone who is used to starting or a transfer is going to not start…going to be sad to watch!
Casey is a good player but isn’t a proven starter. She has an amazing shot, but certainly with the amount of stars on this team I think she is more of a experienced player coming off the bench.
Good; we will get to see, perhaps, if there are any consequences to a brutal and immature slashing a player with one's stick. Kind of surprised she took the fifth year.

7-0 USA end of first quarter. Draws are 5–3 USA.

This is the first game I have watched. Stream quality is excellent. Sounds like an Aussie announcer. He’s good.

Agreed, with such a packed offense with tons of great youth sometimes you need that experience tho. But, it confuses me because why would she want to spend her 5th year mostly on the bench instead of maybe transferring to play elsewhere.

Also I forgot to add it to this thread but McKenna Harden graduated a year only and decided to transfer to Vanderbilt then! Great for her, and she will be reuniting with former Tarheel Brooke Baker!

BWW has a boot on in the UNCWlax story on Instagram. Hope she is fully healthy this season.

Saw that. Our defense really needs her so we will definitely need her healthy.

UNC on paper has the most stacked attack, great depth too. Should be interesting to see how our defensive side looks, thankfully BWW is back. Would love to see Zenk becoming a starter, or Nelson finally settling in & earning that spot. Hoping for a healthy season. I do think if we struggle on the defensive side, our offense will hopefully make up for it. Getting the best draw specialist definitely helps. This team will be still young but highly talented & the best on paper.

On paper you genuinely think UNC is more stacked on attack than BC? not like trying to start anything but just like genuinely curious your thoughts on that. BC is returning Lopinto, Davis and Clark and are adding the individual who led the league in points per game I believe (Mascone). Let me know why you say this about UNC.

Both teams are stacked at attack with lots of questions in the midfield. UNC has more questions because of all the girls including attack coming back from injuries. I think you have to put BC's starting 4 slightly ahead of UNC as 3 played together last year where UNC had so many injuries. It will be interesting who is the starting 4 for UNC. UNC might have more depth but BC has great depth too. It will be interesting which freshmen step up in Fall ball.

I think UNC has better depth and overall has the attacking edge, but BC has the better starting 4 as of right. I think that’s mostly because of injuries, but we’ll see. If UNC has a healthy attack, then I think it’s better than BC. BC has some great players but we are yet to see the likes of C Humphrey, Ingrilli and White playing together for a full season. As or right now, BC is better but on paper UNC has the better attack IF HEALTHY.

Thank you for your explanation! Going to be brutal to those who don’t get to start at UNC!! I think there will be some shocking choices.

Does not matter who has the slightly better offense. Both will be great. Team with best midfield, defense and draw will win it all. With its depth, UNC more likely to be able to plug some of their holes and use offensive and defensive strings. I think BC might have more of a depth issue at middy and defense. Attack depth means nothing. BC never subs attackers.

It’s a nice problem to have I guess, unless you’re one of the ones towards the end of the bench. And there are plenty of them that would be a starter in some other teams.

Chloe Humphrey is going to be a treat to watch. I honestly think she could be the best attacker in the country. I know it’s early and I know she hasent even played a collage game yet. I don’t think I’ve ever watched someone as dynamic as her. She literally has no weaknesses. Maybe her height? But besides that. I count her as a lock for the starting attack probably with her sister too.
